HorcikDesigns Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I like this MOC more and more... However, would it be possible to show us the steering mechanism, please? ;) Quote
Zerobricks Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Interesting idea. Nice use of baloon wheels and I like you rear suspension with links. Quote
legotechnicus Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 maybe you could try to make it red or blue i case you would change the black, because most of the civil tatras that i have seen are of that color, also, nice work with all the functions, the transmission is amazing, its better than i could expect, and so far it looks very good, looking forward for more progress and good luck. At this moment its dark bluis grey, and thank you. The cab is almost done and I will post the ldd file of the front axle in a hour or so Quote
legotechnicus Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) Here's the LDD file for the front axle for the 4x4 or the 6x6 version. Zerobricks Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 That looks like a really sturdy axle! I see you used realistic steering solution. Well done, realistic but not really meant to be driven by motor, right? Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Thank you for sharing theese great axles! However, I do not see the possibility of different steering angles in 8x8 setup. Quote
Zerobricks Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Thank you for sharing theese great axles! However, I do not see the possibility of different steering angles in 8x8 setup. You can easily have different steering angles, just use a longer steering arm! Quote
legotechnicus Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 Thank you for sharing theese great axles! However, I do not see the possibility of different steering angles in 8x8 setup. I'm thinking of a way to integrate that. already have a idea. You can easily have different steering angles, just use a longer steering arm! thats one way to do it Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 You can easily have different steering angles, just use a longer steering arm! I know. That's probably the simpliest way here. :) However, then the wheels would not be aligned in theoretically (while not calculating with loose parts) perfect parallel position. (I do not say, that my Tatras had them aligned :D ) Quote
legotechnicus Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 Update on the cab, it has a face now What do you guys think? (Crane is of the truck because I'm finishing it). Quote
MaxSupercars Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) Aaahhh beautiful... So it's T815-7... looks like military version in this color... I like it very much !!! :*** Max... Edited October 9, 2015 by MaxSupercars Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Very well done buddy, you really getting the feel of this sort of truck/vehicle!!! Great, great, great, keep it up!!! And keep us updated... Quote
MaxSupercars Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 legotechnicus, can you make a photo of front axle from side without the baloon wheel? Did you use any shock absorbers in front or how do you suspend the front axle? Thx... Max... Quote

It uses one shock absorber combined with a pendular setup. Will keep you guys update if anything has modified. Quote
MaxSupercars Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 OK... that was the reason... because I have seen your LDD of front axle... Solution looks very good but I'm curious how do you connect something that suspend it... Thank you... Max... Quote
legotechnicus Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Hi guys, I'm sorry for not posting anything lately but it has been a bit busy. I made a final (i hope) cab for the truck with the right color. Still a bit struggling with the crane but its almost done. What do you guys think? Red or not? Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Red cab is great, althoug I liked it in DBG as well. It looks very good overall, it reminds on the 8460 mobile crane - still a sweatheart of mine . Fantastic idea to use steering wheels on ball pins/joints for the feet of the outrigers! Good job so far! Quote
MaxSupercars Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Legotechnicus, it looks great! but I want the DBG military version back! :D Did you solved the front suspension and steering? Max... Quote

Thanks, yeah I was just messing around with some parts and it worked haha Legotechnicus, it looks great! but I want the DBG military version back! :D Did you solved the front suspension and steering? Max... I agree on the color, its back to DBG. No still running the same setup as before, still haven't fixed it Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I really really like this build of yours!!! Great concept, nice colors and full of functions...well done buddy! Quote
Milan Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Really nice. How about lifting superstructure up a bit? It looks like it is too close to the rear tires. Quote
Billywink Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Really impressive stuff, also loving the suspension! Quote

Yes... legotechnicus you should do it... I also looked at your first image with blue Tatra 815 and there is superstructure higher and boom fits nicely horizontally... Max...
