JGW3000 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 So this set, 70790, in sealed box, has been on my wife's desk, at home, for at least 3 weeks now, and in our house for about 2 months... Of course I built it when nobody was around, this past weekend. An amusing build, clever mechanism, but not really all that appealing for an AFOL due to small size and unique pieces. When the family got home, the 17 year old said "cool", the 10 year was pissed she didn't get to build it first, and the 7 year old immediately took it apart to rebuild. I now owe my wife $15.00, as she was saving it for an unspecified future birthday present (note to self - find out if there is a stash of these things somewhere) - we get lots of invites for the two younger ones. But hey, its Bionicle, needed to be unleashed from its box captivity. I think it was $15 well spent for the 30 minutes build time and various reactions... Quote
BrickOn Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 haha I like the idea of finding Lego lying around, completely acceptable to open it, definitely worth the $15! Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Ho ho ! Hoping you had not too much troubles with your wife ! Mine is hiding LEGO now for me and my older so we don't find the sets before it's time to open ! And for the common days I have control of unopened sets ready for some surprise gift (or for me to open when I want to). Basically, it's all about communication, if you knew it was left away for a future present did you opened it ? Quote
halixon Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Thankfully, no one hides LEGO from me, but one can never be to careful! Quote
