Hobbythom Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 So, today I loaded a MOC I was working on and the file I opened is completely empty. There is nothing there. When I try to open it whilst working on a different MOC I get a parsing error. Any tips? Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 In order to help we need more information like: What Program are you using? What kind of file are you trying to open? Quote
Hobbythom Posted September 25, 2015 Author Posted September 25, 2015 I am using ldd and loading a save file. Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Sounds like LDD had an error while saving, which left you with a corrupted file. I'm not sure there's anything you can do. Quote
Calabar Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Please share the file so that we can take a look at it. Quote
Hobbythom Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 Thanks for looking hospitaal.lxf Quote
Calabar Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 The file is corrupted, expecially the lxfml (it is possible to recover the png thumbnail file, but not the xml one). You could try to fix it using a commercial zip repair software (I tried some free solutions without sucess, but maybe a commercial software will help you). Quote
Hobbythom Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 Thanks for looking. I am not really familiar with the terms you mentioned I'm afraid. If I had said zip repair software, what does one do to repair the corrupted file. A link to a guide would be equally helpful. Quote
Calabar Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Errata corrige: I was able to manually repair the file. The result should be almost complete, maybe some connection has been lost. You can find your lxf on the bottom of my gallery. Quote
Hobbythom Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 Calabar, you have my endless gratitude! I owe you about 9 hours of LDD'ing! Many, many thanks. Quote
Superkalle Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 That was well done Calabar. I tried to open the file in winzip, but it gave me parsing error. Quote
