I'm just going to go off on a sort of wild guess here...but im guessing that since Mazeka doesn't have any of the colors of an Onu-Matoran, and with the gunmetal Volitak, that maybe he is a Fe-Matoran?

Not 100% sure myself, but looks more like Gunmetal than it does Silver, Grey, or Black.

Well, I am unsure the number of pieces but I think he will definitely be more than 30 USD, probably somewhere around 40 judging from the fact that he will be a store Exclusive. Mazeka himself is nothing special, just a complete Solek only with a Nuparu Mahri mask. The machine, though...interesting. It is definitely an innovative machine, and its design is not so bad--it is SUPER reminiscent of Boxor, Bahrag, and Ussanui days. It is overall a good set, though my getting it will depend on how much money I have leftover after my other buys.

I like the turning plate, and the idea of a mega-Zamor launcher. I've got only one qualm, that my brother yesterday noticed. The extra Zamor pack holder, notice how it is really three Zamor magazines connected? Well, once the lower Zamor magazine runs out, then won't the Zamors get stuck in the intersection between the two higher Zamor magazines?

I personally feel that while Mazeka's vehicle is awesome, we got shafted with his mask. I mean, everyone this year has a gotten a new mask(or atleast new shape) and then we get a Volitak? A fraggin' Volitak? Meh, I guess the set makes up for it, but still...

If you look at the back of Mazeka's vehicle it looks like a technic pin holder connected to the zamor/midak launcher ( I think it launches if you pull back on it)

I want to hear your guy's opinon on this

It seems weird that this years T- vehicles have simmular trigger mechanisms

I rather like Mazeka's vehicle. It's four-legged, which reminds me of the Vahki transport, one of my favorite Bionicle transports. It's not a flying stick like Vultraz's skyfighter or a flying box like Rockoh. It doesn't copy Axalara and Jetrax in being flying. It walks! Turntable is cool. And I love the cover made by the Kalmah foot (is that gunmetal or dark bley?) and the Pohatu weapon clamps. The zamor magazines being used in such a way is rather creative, though I'm wondering how one sphere will go in instead of the other. Maybe you have to lean it? And are those Technic beams Mata blue...?

Mazeka, though is meh, really. I am rather happy we are getting a Ko-Matoran, though. But I wish they hadn't reused the Solek limbs in the same exact way as Solek (the same piece being used for both arms and legs). I would rather the thin Kardatoran limb (used on Radiak and Gavla, as well as Tanma's arms and Photok's legs) be used for his arms. They look much better for Ko-Matoran, who I've always thought have a rather slim, limber physique. I'm disappointed by his neon green eyes. I think neon green is one of the worst eye-colors to go with white. Ice blue or light blue would be far superior, seeing as he is a Ko-Matoran, not an Av-Matoran (and Av-Matoran should have yellow eyes, like Takanuva). Anyway, I think he has too many colors. White limbs, silver mask, and dark bley feet. It is possible to balance all colors well, but knowing TLC, they'll do something weird like making only his mask silver. And seeing as his body is the only piece left that I can't see, the feet will be the only dark bley, or the mask will be the only silver.

That's a lot of words. More than I intended. I think the mask should be a recolored white Volitak, his arms should be the thin Kardatoran limbs, his eyes should be ice- or light-blue, and he needs white and light or dark bley. With his current body being an almost exact copy of Solek, he needs a different color scheme, and light bley would serve well. Either that or medium blue. In fact, medium blue probably would be a better choice, seeing as how his awesome walker (All-Terrain-Mazeka's Zamor Walker, or AT-MZW) is primarily blue. Anyway, I would make Mazeka's Toa Mata feet medium blue, which is new, I believe, and also his body and hands be medium blue.

And I believe the Technic angle connecter at the back of the vehicle is pushed in to fire the zamors.

Oh yeah, could someone post a pic of just Mazeka without his vehicle? PDFs won't load on my comp. And can you tell from the PDFs whether the Pohatu weapon clamps and Kalmah foot are gunmetal or dark bley?

Forgot about Icarax...and from what it looks like, the Pohatu clamps and Kalmah foot are gunmetal. Mazeka's body is dark grey. Simply put, he is Solek with a different mask.

I dislike the mask. I dislike the Mata blue. Otherwise I'm impressed. I'll buy him.

Really? I always assumed they'd be stockier than many other Matoran, as they tend to live in colder, mountainous regions. So, wider, stockier builds, a la Scandinavians and other colder, mountain-dwelling folks.

It is confirmed - Mazeka rules.

Finally, we're getting something this year other than a flying vehicle - a four legged turret? Yes, oh yes, TLC! Even better is the fact that Mazeka is really well designed from the looks of it. A strong, bulky build with lots of armor, a sick multi zamor clip, and an actual seat for the rider!

Only thing I don't like is that Mazeka himself is really just Kazi with Nuparu Mahri's mask. If we don't get a brand new mask mold, fine, but they could have at least given him a recolored Volitak. It ain't that hard to use the same mold to make a mask in a new color.

Oh well, it doesn't really matter. Finally, we get an awesome exclusive this year, right up with Nocturn and Karzahni!

I've actually thought a combination of the two designs would be best. To me, the ideal Ko-Matoran design would be Kazi from 2006 - an armored body with thin limbs. You can see that Kazi was a lot stockier body wise than Piruk, Balta, or Dalu, but not as stocky as the earth and stone types, which I'd assumed would be the bulkiest. Ah, I remember when it was a lot simpler back in 2001 - every Tohunga was exactly the same, design wise.
