Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Oooh... gettin' greedy, I see. I'll wait until they're on super-sale next spring. - Helden Quote
Dino_Bot Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 I bought Kopaka, but I'm not gonna open him 'till X-Mas. Quote
Zarkan Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 $7.99 CAN for 14 peices????!!!!Wha?????!! -ZotS Totally. 5 USD like the previous year was pushing it, but bringing it up to 6 dollars just is overboard. I may just buy one of these pretty but overpriced and <insert that tiresome argument> Av-Matoran. |-/ Quote

Dino_Bot Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Why not? You bought him! :-) Actually, my sister bought it. But I was there. So "I bought it". And I don't know where it is, either! XD Quote
Clonie Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 (edited) Its likely that he will, though. So far, every one-off Toa has had one.Takanuva > Ussanui Lhikan > Kikanalo Lesovikk > Watersled Ignika > Airsled So by "every" do you mean "3 of them"? :-P Oh and yes, those Matoran are kinda overpriced... >> Edited December 19, 2007 by Clonie Quote

Visorak-kal Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 (edited) Totally. 5 USD like the previous year was pushing it, but bringing it up to 6 dollars just is overboard. I may just buy one of these pretty but overpriced and <insert that tiresome argument> Av-Matoran. |-/ I'm betting it's all the new pieces, and the rising costs of production. I read on BZP that LEGO is having trouble holding off on raising canister set prices, which is why they re-used Zamor spheres in 2008. I have a feeling they gave us new masks/pieces on the Av-Matoran because they were going to raise the price anyway, otherwise I can't see the reason for new molds except to make the sets more valuable. I wish they weren't six dollars each US, but since I only get the red and white ones anyway it doesn't matter. Plus, if Mutran and Vican are only 15 USD, then that means Vican will be a dollar cheaper than teh other Matoran! Zaktan of the Shadows: I can't wait to see those 70+ sets either, so long as they aren't really hand-held buildable weapons. I honestly just can't see the profit in that, no kid is going to buy a 70 dollar buildable weapon when they just came out with 25 dollar Mahri dart shooters this year that aren't buildable. I'm hoping that, since they ended playsets, we might get real-scale landscapes with lots of technic pieces! Or, as one guy on BZP theorized, it could be a large-scale playset with multiple figures. Shakar Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Wait, weren't they 40+ or 70+? And I'm hoping for huge titans, bigger and more complicated than Kardas. That would be a dream come true. I wish that one of them was MoMN, but apparently we don't get a set of him next year. :-/ Shakar Quote

It may actually have been 40+, and possibly 70. I am not so sure, and BZP is offline, so I can't check there. And better-than-Kardas Titans would be great! In fact, something that is just as big and complex as Kardas would be nice in and of itself. Shame there's no Makuta of Metru Nui, as I have been hoping for a set of him. Still, Maxilos does work as him, the coloring is exactly the same and the Kraahkan looks great on Maxilos. VK Edited December 19, 2007 by Visorak-kal Quote

You're probably right. Greg did say in his blog that the rising gas prices are having an impact on TLC. This must be the result.... I blame the middle eastern oil monopolies. And, as Rush on EIB calls them, the enviormentalist wackos, who refuse to let the USA drill for oil in Alaska. But I'm not going to get into all the political aspects of this problem - drat, already let my mouth slip. :-| :-P Quote
VBBN Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 I wonder if we will see a new collecter tub for 2008... What do you think? Quote
Zarkan Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Hm, I kinda doubt it. They didn't do any last year, so why would they do one this year? Then again, you never know... :-) Quote
Dino_Bot Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I just wanna see Tahu, Gali, and Onua. Everything else can disappear. I don't like the Vamprah, and I don't like the Titans. The Toa are the best. The theme is really odd, and I feel the Vampire thing is just...soo clich'e...what's gonna be next? lycanthropes? or zombies? Quote
Clonie Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Um, 4 sets listed there. :-/ I want Lewa. There, I said it. Kikanalo isn't a vehicle. T_T Quote
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Steed, vehicle, pet, same difference. No way's he's gonna be released alone anyway. -Ikk Quote
Dino_Bot Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Taka needs a Puku type thing. A rahi. I'd be very happy if he came with a Rahi. I'm a big fan of Rahi. Quote
Zarkan Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Yeah. We get a ton of fan made rahi and non-set rahi, but we haven't been getting very many actual set rahi. We got only 1 last year and this year, and they both were awesome. I think It'd be cool to have ol' Taka riding on some giant bird or something. *sweet* Quote
Smithy_Boy Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 my brother was in a city 2 hours away from where i live, he said he was gonna do all of his christmas shopping then to day he came back, and i was going around the house and i found a toy's r us bag and the ground, i check it and there is a receipt still in it..... Dino_Bot Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I don't get why they didn't give him Puku in the first place! Coz Takua had it. And it was an awful rahi. I hope they update it. Quote
