edsmith0075 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Greetings everyone, I am posting this with the hopes that someone on here may know of a way or "clip" that would hold the Lego Window 1 x 2 x 3 Pane https://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3854#T=C I would like to use these pieces as the side ladders on my high cube boxcars but do not have a way to attach them. They are a great solution but it would appear that they only can clip into the window frames that they are fitted to. Are there any clips thin enough to hold this part. I have tried u clips and similar but they are not thin enough. Thanks in advance as always... Quote

edsmith0075 Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Thank you for the reply. That idea will not work, I am appreciative that you read the post. The window frame that you linked is the only thing that I can identify that holds these panes. Atleast with ladders and rails we can use different types of clips and such but these panes seem to have only one function and that is to fill the frame of the window brick. Ussually pieces can be used in many ways with other components, this piece is giving me a challenge. Quote
greenmtvince Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I've heard this will hold those windows frames onto a train: http://tinyurl.com/pb5g7mj Quote
dr_spock Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hot glue gun or white glue Maybe cut open flex tubing and wrap around window pane to increase thickness so it clicks into the clips. Quote
michaelozzie Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 (edited) From memory you can use the Base from the lever and insert the windowpane into the slot where the lever sits. I think though that depends on if it's the older style window panes or the newer, as the newer are thicker. https://www.bricklink.com/browseList.asp?itemType=P&catString=24 Edited September 22, 2015 by michaelozzie Quote
davidzq Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I've seen these with the pane sitting on top, and a 1x1 plate with vertical clip next to it, to lock it in place. The clip was then used to hold some grab handles. Forget where I saw this, on someones daylight, I think. As far as Dr Spock's idea about the flex tube. It sorta works, but ends up too thick, I did something similar on my rescue. Quote

A Gallifreyan Cat Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 If it's a swoofty technique, it will almost definitely work. Quote
