Lauri Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Hello! I started to build a forestry machine, a few weeks ago. The aim should therefore be to make ponsse beaver, Finnish forest harvester. The machine will be a number of activities pneumatic eg differential locks distribution box switching and grapple functions and frame lock for example. remote-controlled operations will be at least of driving, turning and boom movements. the whole machine is going to be quite large so everything is built to be durable, for example, the structure of the bogie has been modified more robust version of somebody else. and then alongside pictures of what's going on, I will try to add them here as long as the building gets along with the school. Lauri Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Again, there is little progress has been made a little sketch of the crane in place, mainly due to the investment of the cylinders, power transmission lines has tentatively been accommodated in the frame. and the frame from still reasonably stiff now here again proceeding from the body, strengthening and adding small accessories. pictures tell more when again a thousand words so: Quote
darsedz Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 very interesting design, I'm waiting for the finished model :) Quote
LegoMathijs Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I like forestry machines. Looking good! Can't wait to see more of your Ponsse Beaver Quote
Lauri Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 Hello again! This was back in the small picture of the project along, the last update is mostly gone backwards. because the front frame structure turned out too frail and had to make it new, it does not bear the crane torque. Now it begins to be strong enough but it is still not yet completed, among others, it is still missing the front end of the use of the lock cylinder and the turning of the crane as well as any design. But it is after all something a little more lived were available, the crane is Sånt two inner self in a follow-up, even when receiving the outer tube and mechanics to work so that both nested extensions should be evenly spread out, and also goes back in, remote controlled manner, of course. when the top of a crane outlined in the hull measured the interest in the whole length of the device, provisionally, and it is 120cm, I think that it is at least large enough for the machine. LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Nice building technique (may be to complex for me...) By the way where did you get the chains? Quote
Lauri Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 chains have bought quite a small hardware store chain which modified the chains just like a real forest machine chains, that are not Lego bricks, they are only part of what this machine does not have Legos. Quote
