So my random pieces have arrived and I finally had tine to sit down and play with them. I am very happy with these headlights featuring part 4248937 "Diamond with stick".

Here are some snapshots (my version of Skyline edit: by Sariel of course)

Interesting- that does seem to conduct the light well and bring it closer to the bricks you're using for the exterior lens so there's less diffusion, but I do wonder what the difference is vs just moving the light source a stud closer. That is, is the diamond piece actually doing any kind of focussing, etc., or is it just simply moving the point of output closer to the trans 1x2 brick?

Neat idea either way. :classic:

It's an interesting configuration. I'll have to take a look at it next time I get a chance to get my hands on bricks :classic:

Have you tried with different colour pieces? Red and orange for example?

Not yet. I only bought 4 of those Diamond Sticks. All in clear... TR LT Blue and TR Red might work as well. I need to buy more parts again... :)

Unfortunately orange seems out of stock in Bricks & Pieces

that is rather interesting, how the jewel part refracts the light.

the jewel part is quite common, its available in lots of trans colours.
