technicbuilder Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Hello everybody, Inspired by 'Gold Rush' on Discovery channel, i started to build my own washplant in Lego Technic. For the moment it's a WIP, i'am missing some parts to contineu buldling. Here is a first impressum with some pictures. Feedback alway's welcome, also what can be improved. Quote
Imanol BB Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 (edited) will you throw lego pieces inside of it or you will use something else?, beacuse if you will use "rocks", you could make a trommel-like thing to separate the different size rocks. EDIT: Also, that 42030 seems amazing with those tires. Edited September 6, 2015 by ImanolBB Quote
veryrusty Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Seems like the start of a good great ball (rock) contraption to me. Quote
Kiwi_Builder Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Looks interesting, it will be great when we can see it in action. Quote
dr_spock Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Seems like the start of a good great ball (rock) contraption to me. I have the same thought. Quote

2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Excellent so far, really would love to see this in real action!!! Vids I guess... :-) Quote
technicbuilder Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 Thank's everybody for the great comment,it's a great help to keep building. The 8043 is from Jurgens technic corner The dumptruck is the one from Designer han. The 8275 was modified by myself with 2 pneumatic autovalves for raise and lower the blade and for blade adjustment. There will be a video at the end of this month. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Now I see, this is for the event you mentioned to me as well... Correct? Looking forward to see this video of yours! Quote
technicbuilder Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) Hello everybody, Here a video from my wash plant, there where some litelle technical problems during the event ,but there fore it's also version 1.0 and some things has to be improved. Thank's for watching It seems something went wrong during posting .Sorry for that. Edited November 24, 2015 by technicbuilder Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 This is amazingly cool and I find it very inspiring! Well done and since it is a v1.0 it is doing a very good job...! Especially the wash plant is well build!!! If I may suggest two things? 1) In the first video, the one with the excavator, maybe you could give the bottom tiles. By making it smooth I am sure the excavator will do better. 2) The routing of the machines could be more efficient IMHO It takes a little to long for both the dumper and the front loader to get where they are suppose to go. Just some things you might think over... Quote
Technic-Kobaltz Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Great set-up technicbuilder , you must have had a great time at the event. The wash plant is spot on, love it. It must also excite you for the future, so many opportunities to expand the scene with both mobile/static equipment as well as the detail on the scenery itself. (The bridge for the dump truck to go over is a nice touch) Good times ahead. Quote
Philipp Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 (edited) Gibt es eine genau Anleitung oder noch genauere Bilder zu dieser Waschanlage da ich diese gerne nachbauen würde Is there a guide or just more accurate picture for this wash as I would like to rebuild this Edited May 2, 2016 by Philipp Quote
jono rocky Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I agree with 2LegoOrNot2Lego about the tiles in the excavators bay. As a thought with your plant would be to add a portable rotary crusher where you could have for the rocks either two bricks half pushed together so the come apart easily or 2 1x2 tiles connected at right angles and as they go through the rotary drum they come apart and appear smaller. Sorry I'm rambling. I loved working at the Borals open cut sand stone quarry many years ago and this brought back some memories so thank you. Its very well laid out and cant wait to see more. Quote
Modelmaker Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 How was the clean out? It would be cool if you used some lego gold coins that get trapped in the waffles Quote
DrJB Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Very nicely done! I see two things that 'jump out'. 1. The bucket of the 8043 is not a part I recognize. Is it custom made? 2. The tracks of the 8275, they appear to be silver ... or is that just light reflection effect? Quote
technicbuilder Posted May 3, 2016 Author Posted May 3, 2016 Hello everybody, I'am gonne tray reponse all the message in one awnser There are now instruktions availebale,i have build everything without LDD ,MCLad ore somthing that has to do with computer stuff ,yust building and when somthing not work start again.(old school) Everything works pretty well and smooth ,a few things has to be improved , but for the moment the hole wash plant was put into a box ,maby in a few months i will pick up agian this project . The bucket on the 8043 is from the older backhoe 8862 ,the technic links on the dozer are the orginal dark blush gray from Lego ,i think with the light from the foto it look's like silver coler. Thank's for the intrest . Quote
