icarusbird Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Here's the image: http://imgur.com/mjkXgT8 Specifically I'm referring to the three 2x3 plates that are oriented vertically, whose edges are flush with the surface of the 1x4 and 2x2 flat tiles. So if you look at the unit on the left, 6 studs from the far left are three 2x3 plates that are somehow aligned with the tops of 1x4 and 2x3 snot pieces. I have the two structures built independently in LDD, but I've spent hours on this and still can't find any pieces to connect them. Please tell me they're not glued... Quote
Halhi 141 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 There's several ways in which it could be done, but I think the simplest would be to use some of these pieces (mounted a few plates below the tiles) to attach the vertical section. Quote
weeble1688 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 My guess is that the bottom 1xN bricks have studs on the side, possibly a regular old dark gray 1x1 brick on either end & a 1x4 brick with studs on side in between, thus holding tight to the sideways 2x3 plates yet also attached to the 2xN brick above. I almost said a 1x2 brick with studs on side, but those weren't around when old dark gray still existed. That is how I would link the two spearate sections together, anyway. I hope this helps! Quote
icarusbird Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 You guys are awesome! I don't know how you figure stuff out like this so quickly, since I literally spent hours trying to make this work. But yeah it ended up being an angular 1x2 plate that only comes in black and light grey, so I had to build around it to preserve the color scheme, but the descriptions you provided put me on the right track. Thanks so much! Quote
