In preparation for Legoworld 2015 in Utrecht (Netherlands), I wanted to get rid of the last set (Green Grocer) in my layout. So I had to build another modular building MOC. Because it would be the ending of a row of houses, I wanted to build a corner house. The style is quite common in the Netherlands for villa's from around 1900. The building hasn't (yet) any interior.

And this is how it looks next to my other MOCs:

Hope you enjoy it. See my flickr-account for more photo's.

At first sight I thought this was an inverted corner.. Very nicely done, I especially like the veranda and the shutters. It reminds me of the late 1920's villas of my town, very realistic!

Beautiful, you've captured the arts and crafts style very well. And you've managed the overlapping tile effect on the roof very well (particularly like the discoloured slate effect)

I just didn't have enough roof bricks of either colour :classic:

the build is awesome - pardon my laymans critisizm -but the rest of the street is brimming with life - crowded - but this villa looks as if it was meant to be positioned in a quiet neighborhood - still awesome stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's gorgeous indeed, I'm especially fond of the curved section above the front balcony. Looking forward to seeing this in Utrecht!

Lovely building. The proportions and the roof are just perfect! The mix of tan and olive green for the face also work very well together. I also like the bay window and the little garden in front.

Great color combination. The rest of your buildings are very nice too.

Nothing to add. Very well done!

Ouch. Never tell!

Good details are always intentional.

Another brilliant creation. Love the general design, the roof and the colour combinations of the walls.

Nitpickingly spoken: since your street (best one I've ever seen, by the way, I've followed its development) looks to be typical of an Amsterdam "centre of town" street, the building looks ever so lightly out of place.

But then again, Dutch cities are known for that.

Keep clicking those bricks together (by all means, please do).

A street in the centre of Amsterdam would have houses with more floors than in my street. My houses are more typical of a smaller town like Weesp or Doesburg.

Then again, I just like to try out a lot of different architectures. So it's an eclectic street.
