CaptainToad Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 On thuesday I ordered my first set from S@H. Prior to that I only ordered pab and bap bags - and I understand that getting all those small pieces together might take some time and there is probably a waiting line. This time, however, I ordered a set and it appears that they still havent sent it yet. Does it always take that long? I kinda hoped to get it before the weekend... I mean, whats the difficulty? Its just a set that need to be put into a cardboard box and get an address attached to it. Quote
spzero Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 it can take a while, I have ordered on a Friday and had it arrive on the Monday 3 days later (which is really good for free shipping) but it can take over a week sometimes. Quote

AFOLguy1970 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 S@H allows you to check the order status and see if there is a tracking number. If it says something like "Processing" or "In Warehouse", then the item has not shipped yet. Once it ships, they do usually provide a tracking number within 24 hours. Quote
talos Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Once it's shipped it depends on how far it has to go too. For me, free shipping takes a week, pretty consistently if fedex is the shipper, MS to CA, by truck. Quote
Pedilego Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I want to say I placed orders for PAB and the Ferris Wheel on... August 26th, before the free pirate set but not when it was just a day or two away. I received the Ferris Wheel a couple weeks later and received my PAB order this past Monday or Tuesday, over 3-weeks later. I live in a major US metro area, too. I think it took over a month to get the single part that was missing from my Parisian modular. Barring circumstances, I'll be visiting one of the Lego stores within 15-30 minutes from here on out. The PAB parts online are fullfilled and shipped from Denmark not from your local store or any US location. There is even a disclaimer that it will be weeks before your order arrives as it has to be hand picked, packed and shipped from the overseas warehouse. If you have a local store that is usually best for sets if you want them quick, but they will never have the same selection as the online PAB. Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 The online PAB originates in Strykow, Poland. As for method of shipping on regular orders, I noticed they use Fedex quite a bit. If there has been a delay in the order, then they use Fedex door to door. If they ship on time, then they use Fedex part of the way and USPS the rest of the way. Fedex literally hands it off to the local carrier. Quote
Darkdragon Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 The online PAB originates in Strykow, Poland. I guess it must depend what you order or something, all that I know for sure is that it does not come from the USA. Quote
dr_spock Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I think it is also dependent on which shipment method you selected. Some of it can depend on the reliability of your country's postal service. You didn't mention which country you're in and shipping method chosen at checkout. As mentioned, you can check the status online of your order if you didn't get a shipping notice email. Quote

Well, I live in Poland - shipping is always via DHL - the package has shipped in the meantime - still I am a little bit disappointed - I mean what can be so difficult to put a set in a box and print a label and stick it onto box... I even feel kinda bad to be so impatient - I ordered the Arjitzu temple - if I dont get it by tomorrow (which I wont) I will get it on Monday - and its usually the weekends that I have enough time to sit down a couple of hours and build something Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 They need time to process the order. Can you imagine how many people are buying LEGO at any moment during the day?? I'm going to go out on a limb and say you weren't the only fan buying something that needed to get put into a cardboard box. A lot of other things need to happen. I'm sure multiple steps happen before it actually gets put into a box. Plus, as stated, it does depend on where you are located vs where their shipping facility is located. I'm in the USA, but I'm within the 3 day radius of their shipping area in Mississippi, so I always get mine within a few days. Quote
