Starwars4J Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 That's pretty old actually, I made a topic about it when I first became a member here :-D I found it belonged to a member of NELUG, it was a prototype skellie horse from at least three years ago. Goes to show you that this stuff takes years to conceptualize Quote
Corpreal363 Posted September 16, 2007 Author Posted September 16, 2007 Jesus Christ! I didn't know it was That Old Quote

Maybe they are secretly working on a pirate theme for 2010 as we speak! 8-| I wonder if that rare part might somehow be available..... Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
iamded Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 (edited) I remember seeing that, and saving the pic as it was so awesome! :-D I also wouldn't mind that sword. X-D I wonder if TLC will release these, like skeleton ghost horses. 8-| :-P] Ded stalking Batbrick? :-P Edited September 17, 2007 by iamded Quote

Hope that helps :-) Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
iamded Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Yeah, I know. I have a light grey (or is it bley?) one of those swords. It is neat. X-D Got it from an Orient Expedition set I got when camping once. From Toyworld on discount. I also got the hot-air balloon set. I was happy. *sweet* Anyway, I meant it would be cool to get a transparent light blue one of those swords. Or a transparent one in any colour. Yeah. Ded stalkin' Batbrick. I should make an abbreviation for that. Like, D st. BB. Nah. :-P Quote

Shadows Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Just as a comment ... anyone think we'll see a flood of the new ones in transclear now that the molds are available? I bet a couple of specialty parts sellers would love to get their hands on a few hundred and sell them on Bricklink. I know I'd buy one, if it was reasonable enough. Quote

jamtf Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Most likely, the person who has it must have good connections with Lego or someone inside the company. Same goes for the trans- clear, black and red ghost shrouds. These different colors are prototype molds and they are used to check whether the final mold in a different colour will have (minor) flaws or imperfections. Imperfections on the ABS material are apparently best seen on trans-clear, red and black pieces. I think that after they are of no use anymore, they will be discarded or given to people who visit the factory or to employees. Some will go in collections, others will be sold on the world wide Lego market which will give the seller a tidy sum in case they are offered for sale on BL for instance. Just my 2 cents. Quote

Just my 2 cents. I have been on the factory tour in Billund and they do not let you anywhere near the prototype pieces! I think that these must have leaked out from someone in the factory ... I know what you mean about the tidy sum for sellers. I now have a Black, Red and Clear ghosts, but it did cost me! Quote
