Hi...

Last weekend I built a MOC for a model that I liked for a long time.

The 4x4 Jeep from 896gerard:

Also reminds me the body on this car here:

Of these there were formerly in East Germany some ....

There is no guide for this MOC.

So I let myself be inspired by the body.

This is now 2 studs wider and 5 studs longer than the original.

Even the front and rear are higher.

The chassis I've built by MAP Platform.

This is also somewhat modified and narrower.

Instead of the battery box I have the Accu installed.

The driving performance is pretty good at this MOC.

But unfortunately, he does not climb as the "Hill Climber" by 896gerard.

It could also expand as amphibious vehicle;-)

Cool ! Really like how you improved the design  Love that propeller

Hello! I'm the builder of the original model. You might think that I have used the same car photo for the design, but that is not the case. This bodycomes straight out my own head and was as light as possible, without compromising design. So yes, it may look like that metulskie8 made my design more 'fit' to that East-German car, but that's not where my car body comes from. To show what my own chassis can do:

I'm the builder of the original model and I'm glad that my work was used as inspiration! However, I think the body you built is a little bit heavier than mine, because you focused more on 'closing the gaps', while I focused on maximum climbing performance AND having a nice design which is also very light, because that's what you need when climbing.

I like your car very much and it's climbig perfomace is really awesome.I agree that the body is heavy but for me it looks good because of the width of the model and it's equivalence between wheels and bodywork.

Don't take this a wrong way ,I like both very much ,sorry if I made you feel bad with my comment before

Well, I didn't take it in the wrong way, I think I understood why you said it in that way, so don't worry! You had the picture of that East-German car in mind, while I had nothing in mind...

Hi, great design, it reminds me an episode of top gear with normal cars with some "minor" improvements, i will see if i get a pic, but i must say that you made an excellent work, specially in the chassis and transmission.

EDIT: i found it but i dont remember the episode name:

Is that Top Gear America? I use to prefer the British version, and I cannot remember it too.. (By the way, that looks like a Mazda MX-5 on a bodyless Toyota pickup..)
