cable based trees - advise needed

I was thinking about building some easy trees with lego 'cables'

theres basically two options:

OUTER CABLE 128MM (6047159); OUTER CABLE 224MM (6040310)

I think the smaller one might be more natural if you put it next to an arch based tree that might have roughly the height of the longer cable

what do you guys think?

I think that a picture is worth a thousand words.

Instead of giving us parts numbers, and a vague idea; play with LDD, make a picture, and then ask us what we think.

Because I'm not sure about other people, but whatever you're imagining isn't clear to me. Personally, I'm not about to go searching for what those parts are and then build it for you. (But I'm far from the nicest person here. :P )

I never thought of using those parts to make trees, I might try it. I, and I think most places call those parts 'rigid hoses,' since they are tubes, not cables. I didn't know what you were talking about till I looked at the video. You can buy a lot of different sizes and then cut them to the desired lengths too.

THe video inspired me to try it out... I ordered three of the smaller ones to check it out. Wouldnt want to cut it as they seem to be available only in those two sizes and cutting the longer one would result in having two which are shorter than the shorter one :)
