Frozen Assasin Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I’m actually wondering why nobody has brought this up before. Sure, all of us have one or another idea about some kind of lego series he (or she ) would like to see. So, I decided to make this topic in which you can share all of your ideas for us to see. And let me begin. Lego Licensed I would of course want to have more sets (mostly in the Marvel collection ) that are based on movies. I mean, like, sets that are based on the X-Men movies ( tell me, who would not want to own a replica of the lab from X2 ? Or the mansion as seen in those films. Or a miniature Anna Paquin. J) And of course more functions in those sets. Maybe even figures that have some kind of special function (stretchable arms for Mr.Fantastic ? Kitty Pryde who turns invisible if you pour water on her ? ).From the DC side it would be cool to see sets based on famous events in comic books (and I mean family-friendly events, no Death in the Family or Death of The Family) and more sets based on their movies ( despite GL being an absolute failure, it would be cool to see sets based on that flic.). And maybe, just maybe, one or two sets based on Vertigo. Just to have a minifig of Constantine. More JP sets. No, seriously. I want to see a Spinosaurus with the modern dino-construction, because he was a complete mess in the original set. Or sets with the original T-Rex. Or for example bigger and better build Pterodactyls. Another point where Lego has failed-Ben 10. I was a great fan of the series in the past (but I believe that Omniverse sucks major balls in pretty much every direction.), so I wanted to have a good series with Ben 10. Just imagine the possibilities ! A stretchable WildVine. A mixel-joint Way Big ! A bigfig Fourarms. And the list goes on and on. A HP line featuring remakes of old sets, such as the Basilisks chamber, would be cool. Also, a line named : Retro Heroes, which would feature various (kids) heroes and characters from the 80's and 90's, with sets focused on the Gargoyles, the Gremlins, the Goonies, Monster Squad etc. And to finish this - a series dedicated to popular TV-series. The kids will maybe not recognize the characters, but this will one for the true fans. Because admit it -if you are over 25 and still into Lego, it is most likely that you are a geek. Lego Star Wars Okay, here I have nothing to say. It is great already. Maybe a little less remakes and more new sets. A set for the Geonosian arena would be nice. Or a set based on Padme’s ship from episode 1. Or remakes of sets that were great in the past, but now have been forgotten, such as Dagobah or Cloud City. Lego Historic. Lego Dragons. Yes, Lego Dragons. A theme that focuses on the conflict between 2 groups of warriors ( both of them Human) who ride their mighty, jointed Dragons into battle. New weapons. New molds for helmets, bodies and weapons. Completely unique Dragons, which have a solid-one piece body (with a place on which the mini-fig can sit) and jointed limbs and wings. Also, glowing eyes when a crystal is put on the Dragons fig and a function with which the Dragons can grip the character in question to tilt them and throw them. The next series could most likely feature some-kind of new villain to add to the mix, which attacks both groups at the same time, which however doesn't unite them. These villains could utilize some unique new monsters (maybe even have them have some Greek/Roman/Egyptian theme ? ). The third year would then feature a new villain, whose tactics would force the two groups to come together against the villain (with some-kind of romantic subplot forced into it ). They defeat the villain in question and something new comes on the horizon and you can imagine what came after that. Insert a few twists and turns and a unique culture and voila, you've got yourselves a pretty good series. Maybe something focused on the Wild West, with cowboys and indians, with again, a basic story and a basic conflict between the two groups. And if Lego really wants to cash on the fans, make it steampunk. Good steampunk. Maybe also an series that focuses on proper samurais and ninja’s. Lego Action. Lego Time Travelers. Imagine how far that could go ! Each year-another time period (with some kind of historical character being put into it.). Make it have some-kind of story (generic good guys chasing generic bad guys trough time) and some-kind of conflict with the characters of the time period and voilà Lego Pirates Pirates. No, simple as that. Pirates. But mean a Pirates line which has a background and (simple) story-line. Something about a cursed treasure to which a group of Pirates and a group of Corsairs are racing. But then it is revealed that the treasure is protected by ghosts of those who have put the treasure there and that by removing the treasure, they have let the ghosts escape. The maybe some other story with how the treasure got there in the first place (making Aztec sets a possibility). Add some sea-monsters, some zombies and fish-men for good measure and you are already on your way to success. Lego Sci-Fi. A Lego City-esque series that takes place in the future. Plain and simple. A futuristic house. A futuristic police force. Futuristic fire fighters. Some futuristic baddies. Maybe one-or two sets focused on Alien cultures and a few space-ships to add into the mix. No story needed here, plain and simple. Lego City Sets that involve a common household and several common jobs / places starting from somewhere in the 18th century and so on, ‘till the mid 90’s More sets based on everyday life and jobs. They don’t always have to be cops or firefighters. A set with a hospital.(Lego House M.D or Grey’s Anatomy, anyone ?) Or a set involving a common, every day, house( with multiple smaller sets to fill it up) Or a school set. Or even an apartment. Sets that involve people that operate on the wrong side of the law. So I mean criminals and similar. Maybe even a set or two that involves some-kind of mafia boss (similar to the Space Limo set from the Space Police series). So that was it for me. What do you think of my ideas ? Quote
dr_spock Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I think there is a recent similar topic over in General : http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110622 Quote
