Hi all,

I would like to share with you my story of renovation my first minifigs from childhood. Some months ago I come back from Dark Ages which last 20 years and it was one of the first things I made.

99% of my sets was mint condition, but minifigs from my very first 3 sets was in terrible condition. Horror! Just look at them :(

So I decided to bring them back to life!

Check out photos from whole process and read about it here:

Cheers!

wow, great job.

I thought I had a first mini figure in bad shape... You won!

I decided to not fix it and posted pictures in this topic

one question: did you played with them with mud or it is paint who gave this exotic look for your driver?

Haha :)

About the driver - it is all written there ;)

TL;DR

fire (melted parts) + Plasticine (dark dirt) + water (worn-out prints) + marker (tried to draw new prints as a kid)

What type of decal paper did you use? Those look perfect! I'd almost want to do that to amass a huge army of my favorites...do you have any tips/suggestions?

Well, I just used what I had near me, wasn't buying anything special.

Paper is EMERSON (Art. nr 027) and made it on Xerox WorkCentre 7755.

Any tips? Just do it :) Make few experiments with color since every printer makes different colors then you see on monitor.
