Lord Of Pies Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 $15 is a good price, but I don't live in the U.S. Some of theese mini sets look quite good. Though, they are more parts packs for me. Quote
Johnny 5 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 (edited) The individual sets look interesting lots of nice parts. If you've seen the movie the big book is the catalogue of all the toys in the Emporium. You think of the toy you want open the book to the letter it starts with and the toy magically pops out. I think it ties in perfectly with the idea of Lego because you can come up anything with imagination. Its the point of the movie and its the point of Lego. So I think it was a good promotion. Just as a side note I saw Duplos (just a glimpse) in the movie and one of the characters mentions Legos in a line. I know I'm a Lego maniac when I catch things like that. Indy565 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 You've got the questions. I've got the answers! 1: This is a real set. 2: It's not a book. 3: :-X Quote
hollisbrick Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 It's a movie, i saw it advitised about 1 hour ago, it's about a magic toy shop or something, seems corny. Quote
Indy565 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 I don't like this set at all. I heard the movie wasn't that good. :-X Quote
iamded Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 By the way, I saw this on S@H if anyone's interested. ~Peace Quote
tedbeard Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 (edited) $20 for 9 models. that's like $2.40 each. as gylman said...great for stocking stuffers. My son's 10th birthday was earlier this month and rather than loot bags I bought this set and gave each kid one of the poly bags. They seemed to enjoy them and it kept them quiet for the last 20 minutes of the party as they built like mad. *sweet* And, for the record, the small models are really good. The Hummer was my favorite but the others (well, except maybe the boat) were all excellent for their size. Edited December 13, 2007 by tedbeard Quote
