31050 Corner Deli

31050-0000-xx-12-1.jpg

The opposite corner (back side) seems empty, so instead of being able to fully open (180 degrees) like previous ones (toy shop and bike shop), this one seems to open 90 degrees?

Bank is now on brickset:-

Nice:

That's a really nice looking build. Too bad Creator / City is the only theme that gets these fantastic detailed buildings.

I wonder what that thing on top is. I'm guessing it's some sort of crane using that rope. What will it be holding? Maybe a safe?

Are those bucket handles in the stonework up top? With a shield in the middle? And I think that's the Elves fence piece in black. If so, that's awesome!

The arch above the door is really well done, too.

Super Soarer uses the same color scheme as the Milano from Marvel.

Chopper Transporter sort of looks like a Hess Toy Truck.

Ocean Explorer looks like a smaller version of the Lego City Deep Sea Exploration boat.

I'm really loving this wave, everything just looks so good and very complete.

Airjitzu temple. Daily bugle showdown. Attack on avengers tower. Heartlake hotel. Tower of orthanc. Diagon alley. Medieval market village.

Enjoy the dose of cool stuff.. :)

Are any of those 360 degree builds? Not even Orthanc is, and I'd say that's the closest to what I'm talking about. I don't think half of those compare to this level of complexity. Put Temple of Airjitzu, a great set, next to the Modular buildings and it looks cheap.

Fast Car is a little disappointing from a design perspective. Kind of a step backward relative to the last two, but the scale is right and it'll be fun to customize.

Very late because of missing time I firstly now comment. So thank you very much for the pics, whung! :classic:

About the Deli:

The exterior of the buildings looks great like all the previous City-compatible buildings, too!

But I must admit that I'm really disappointed about that it's no real deli but simply a sidewalk sale for sandwiches. Plus the interior has to be minimalistic - if there's one anyway - since the building is extremely short in its depth - esp. on the second floor (on its right side I see only a one stud interior). That's really a pity!

That's correct.

Didn't see this reported here yet but it seems like these 2016 CREATOR sets were confirmed recently.

10253 Big Ben, the big landmark set like the Sydney Opera House and the Tower Bridge that had been rumored.

31051 Lighthouse

31052 Holiday

31053 Treehouse

Anybody try making turning Artjitzu into a modular yet to remedy that?

The MMV buildings close. Avengers Tower does, too, albeit the set is just the top of a building.

Creator is nice, like UCS, because you pay more for them. Although a pair of Bike Shops still look terrible compared to the Detective's Office, the ones mentioned previously look great for their price and could stand their own vs. modulars etc if the buyer were to invest a bit more time/money into a MOC.

As I said before, I would like for the Landmarks to be Minifig-scaled. After all, who WOULDN'T want a Minifig-scaled Sydney Opera House, Tower Bridge, or Big Ben?

A truly minifig scale Sydney Opera House would be the size of a car and cost just as much.

Maybe it's like the seasons cabin from this year but with holidays. That'd be cool.

That would be three houses for second half.Normally is at least on vehicle between houses. Edited by Ondra
