Klaus-Dieter Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Very, very well done, Lost Viking! That are great Castle MOCs! You seem to be a very talented Castle builder! You must know that I'm a Classic Castle fan and don't like the Castle sets since Knights' Kingdom. Lego goes more and more into the direction of fantasy and video games than making realistic and nice Castle sets. That's a pity because not all new sets are bad but there are some elements (like these undeads in the new Castle sets) which degrade the other nice things which are in the set. Especially because of this I really like your Castle MOCs because they use classic material and put it into a new face. That's brilliant! In my opinion there should be Lego set invemtors like you - then we would get nicer Castle sets again! Most of all I like the the Market Cart, the Market Wall and the Blacksmith. The reason for this is that I don't like it to have only Castle sets which include a lot of action and only knights, soldiers, catapults, ... There should even be civilian because the Middle Age did not only consist of knights and wars! I like castle with the spring, the stable, the little timbered house, the donjon and the well chosen minifigs (with menials and damsel of the castle - Great!), too and the castle courtyard is very nice, too. The only thing which I have to review is that the nice house is a bit empty. To summarize: Very, very well done! Quote
Siegfried Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 That is a nice castle, especially since it's your first and it was done with limited parts. It is a shame that Lego have no intention of making sets like the market. My only complaint is I think the castle should have more of an inner keep, but I suppose it was hard to do that and stay within the price point. I especially like the cart, although I doubt it would be $8 with two horses... Quote

Lost Viking Posted September 9, 2007 Author Posted September 9, 2007 Thanks for all of your kind words. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to build even bigger castles (or work for LEGO *sweet* ). Here is another picture I just took. X-D Quote
Wout Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Very nice, I wish so much for a medievil market :-) Quote
Asuka Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 A very neat and stringent work, everything looks proper and charming, especially that nice little house for the joust theme and your siege tower! And yeah, market on! *y* Good luck for that contest! *sweet* Quote
iamded Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 That's awesome! This is what I (and I'm sure a lot of other people) would like to see in a Castle line. It's all awesomely set out with solid construction and great playability. Great job! *y* *y* Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 I see some amazing creations in there. That castle looks like one LEGO could have made... Brilliant. Same goes for the joust and the market. Although the KK figs and siege weapons do clash a little with the classic figs, and I think the tudor house could use some more timbers, this is a marvelous MOC!! Very well done Lost Viking! I do wonder, how did you count your bricks? Here is another picture I just took. X-D Oh no!!! The castle is being attacked by a giant snow beast!! Run for ye lives!! :-D Quote
