mediumsnowman Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 What sets have good mixture of green/tan/brown plates, slopes, and other good parts for building landscapes? I would just go to Bricklink, but I never end up getting the parts I actually need. I'f prefer some sets with a good assortment Thanks for the help! Quote
Graham Gidman Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I'd suggest getting the 75091 Flash Speeder. I got it as an early birthday present from a friend and was pleasantly surprised with how much green it included, some in very unique designs. It's only $30 and contains over three hundred pieces and five minifigures. A great buy! Other than that, Elves, Pirates, and most Creator sets will provide you with a good assortment. Quote
HawkLord Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Unexpected Gathering from The Hobbit series. The Cantina from the Star Wars series, maybe. Ewok Village from the Star Wars series for lots of brown pieces. Quote

Ewok Village from the Star Wars series for lots of brown pieces. Most of the first wave Hobbit sets have a lot of tan, green, and brown shades, along with leaves and such in several of them. Quote
Naijel Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Two of the Minecraft micro worlds have good colours in small plates and tiles. EB Games in Australia still have them. Quote
ficbot Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Lego Friends setOlivia;s Treehouse has a lot of foliage. Too much, as it turned out; after doing that one, I overdosed on foliage and loathe it now. Quote
CaptainToad Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 set 41033 - if you can get it cheap buy multiples! it contains two vines, two palm leaves, bamboos, stalks, flowers, a couple of lurps (mountains are part of landscaping too I guess). lots of dk and md st. grey pieces - I like that set! the one and only friends set so far for me Quote
General Magma Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 You'd be better off just Bricklinking an assortment of landscape parts, really. Quote

Peppermint_M Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Find a good PaB wall. Go nuts. Look at Creator sets for what they provide, don't dismiss Mixels. Buy things when they are on clearance if you can afford to spend the money, even if you never thought of getting the set. Necessity is the mother of invention and innovation. Even if you are planning on using one colour, see what you have a lot of and make a landscape work out of that. Things are much more fun that way! Quote
Naijel Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 What doesn't make sense to me is that if you don't get the pieces you need when bricklinking then how are you going to get them buying sets? Buying sets will leave usually leave you with a bunch of un-needed parts. Unless you want to run your own store to get rid of them, and make it a decent sized store to get enough traffic, then you'd probably be better off just bricklinking the parts. So, why don't you get the parts you need when bricklinking anyway? Are you just not disciplined enough and buy all the shiny things? I find that hard too. Quote
CaptainToad Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 creator set 31010 is good too IMHO, good material for building trees... Quote
General Magma Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 check the first post. he doesn't want to brick link the parts... I did read the first post, I'm just saying that he'd be better off Bricklinking the parts. He'd be way better off doing so. By buying sets, he will end up with a bunch of pieces he may not even want to have, and he'd be spending a lot more money - it would be far better to pick a Bricklink store and get some good pieces from there.
