OK guys, since I'm a rugby fan and since our beautifull Team opens the WC tonight, I wanted to start that topic to see how many of you will follow the WC ;-)

So feel free to state your views on the participating Nations, the infrestructure, the games and do remember in all the fairness of that Noble sport ;-)

I think that Argentina will be a really rough team to beat on opening night (they beat us 4/5 BUT the last game in the Stade de France saw a nice French victory >:-) ). A huge amount of argentinian nationals play in our champonship !!

And I cannot wait to see our brand new "war cry" !! Nearly all Nations had one except France and now they have one that is kept top secret BUT its inspired by the war cry of the spartiate from that great movie 300 (yes TT :-P )

So have a great WC and GO FRANCE !!

I reckon it's going to be an easy victory for France. I'm an England supporter, but I think this could be France's year. They have a habit of doing well when they host World Cups! :-P

Right, off to watch the game now! :-) :-) :-)

Watching the bloody first half and its a catastrophy >:-(

WTF are they doing for Pete's sake !! Can't pass, loose way too many balls, are terrible playing by feet, bottom line we stink !! If we play by Pichotte's galme we are so screwed !! Come on guys, back to the basics and its time to eat some argentinian meet >:-)

Kernow, Tks God we don't have that SOB Zidane to screw us X-D

EDIT: OK its bloody half now and we're down 8 points !! What scares m is our inability to play ball !! We only have 2 hard games and we NEED to finish 1st to avoid the blacks in 1/4 !! We are definitly not playing as we can/should

Fantastic !! Our WC is pretty screwed right now !!

First we lost (17/12) meaning that its going to be tough to end 1st of the group !! Who knows since there are 3 good teams in our pool !!

At least we saw what we need to end, and we got the defensive bonus point (less than 7 points difference).

Still hope there is !!

Just one of the many European things we silly Americans miss out on. We really should do something about that ...

Such as high-speed public transportation and fuel efficient cars? A rich culture? Ruins? More legolands? X-O

I've never actually seen rugby. I need to pay more attention! :'-(

I have friends who play rugby on an intramural league. They are all violent and crazy. I would love to play, but I am too small. Although, I am crazy enough. All rugby players I have met are a little bit...off.

I have the required level of crazy and the size to cover it. I could put a serious hurting on someone, but I don't have the ankles for all that running around.

I always wanted to try some Australian rules football too. Oh well.

Am I that transparent? :-$

Back on topic, how is the rugby league run. Are there several teams per country or is it a world rugby league?

You are aware that the US actually HAVE a team in the WC ? Yes they do play the game :-P Not sure how good they are, never saw them play hehe

Really not sure how the IRC is run. Its probably run more or les like theFIFA or something approaching I reckon. Like football, France has its own federation and its own championship (where the Stade Fran

Well the France result was a total surprise. Where did it all go wrong? Argentina definitely deserved the win. France need to sort themselves out BIG time or they're going to end up bottom of the group. :'-(

Englnad take on USA today. I reckon I can safely predict that result even though England are really bad at the moment. USA don't stand a chance! :-P

Isn't it embarrassing that some of you from the US don't even know you have a team at the World Cup? :-| :-|

I knew it would be bad, but I didn't predict it being such a farce: 33-0...South Africa absolutely slaughtered England. It was disgraceful. A complete lack of any coordination or effort on their part. If it wasn't my own country then I'd laugh at how appalling it was. I wouldn't have minded if they had at least tried and got some points, but it was just sloppy and lethargic. The English team had better get their skills out of their backsides and onto the pitch or they're going to be out.

What is going on with the Six Nations sides? First France, then England bomb big time against South Africa. Wales weren't embarrassed despite their loss to Australia. However even Ireland only scraped a win against Georgia who have hardly any players in their entire country. I'll be surprised if any of them make the semis now. |-/

It so good to see France playing like that !!

Sure it was against the least quoted team of the 20 Nations, and sure they still did some mistakes and their game was not perfect BUT they play with great enthusiasm and they loved beeing on the field !! The ball was moving alongside really well and oh boy they were fast !!

I mean look at Chabal !! Receiving a beautifull pass and like a supped up beast running 40 meters to put the ball on the ground !! Really amazing 8-

After the loss to Argentina i would be really worried about facing the Irish that's for sure, no doubt both teams will be up for the game so it should be good.

I'm sure france will do well... unlike england |-/ Talk about a completely crappy team! >:-(
