Thrash Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 BrickWarriors just released three brand new items to help outfit your castle armies: - Flamberge - Kettle Helm - Dirk They are currently available in black and steel, but as always, we may add more colors later. Enjoy! Quote
Alfadas Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Nice. I love those kettlehelmets, and those Dirks also look very nice. Although the flamberge looks very nice, it's not really my style. But, great new items! (when will we see more viking stuff?) Quote
Xenophobic Monoxide Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Very nice! I like these alot. Do you think we'll see anymore post-apoc items, like Gasmasks? Quote

Do you think we'll see anymore post-apoc items, like Gasmasks? Of course. What other post apoc items would you like to see? Nice stuff! I love the daggers. I can't wait to see how you put them to use. :) Quote
Dosenbrot Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Nice, I really like the Flamberge! Have you any plans for some sort of skeleton-like armor, like the Wild Hunt in The Witcher 3? Quote

I hadn't seen the skeleton-like armor from The Witcher 3, but that does look pretty cool! Maybe something similar will get made at some point... Quote
Krikkit Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Any chance that you guys could make a stargaze Staff Weapon in you up comings? Stargate Quote
Alfadas Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Thanks! What other Viking stuff do you want to see? I would like to see spears, 2 hand-axes, maybe a different kind of helmet (without horns, I love the current one, but just one without horns) and to complete it, the seax (dagger-thingy). Those are weapons/helmets I'd really like to see. Your current viking items are just amazing, I love the swords, one-handed axes, shields especially, helmets and the armour. Basically the whole line. I do wonder, how long does it take to design these things? and what, if any, computer programs you use to design them. (I don't want to start making them myself, but I'm just interested in what you use) Quote
Thrash Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Any chance that you guys could make a stargate Staff Weapon in you up comings? I wasn't planning on it, but it's possible that it could happen! (I don't want to start making them myself, but I'm just interested in what you use) At least one of our upcoming products is going to make you quite happy. ;) The average design takes anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, and sometimes really complex designs can take longer than that. One design that I did recently that isn't released yet took a miserable 12 hours to complete. I use a CAD program. Quote
General Magma Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Nice! But are you still going to do Lord of the Rings items? Gondorian helmets, tassets, sword, spear, shield and armour, orc helmets, Witch-king helmet, Rohirrim helmet, Easterling gear, etc... Quote
Wardancer Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 As long as we're collecting ideas: How about a feather part that one can slip over any spear and turn it into a giant arrow for balistas etc.. Quote
Xenophobic Monoxide Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Well, like I say, a gas mask would be nice to see, perhaps with some post-apoc scrap armory to accompany. A few more weapons would be cool too, perhaps something like a medi-gun from Team Fortress 2. Actually, a "field-medic" set would not be amiss... Quote

Venkefedo Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 I hope it's a hornless Viking helm! BF has one, but it covers a bit too much of the face print for my taste. Love the axes, shields, and swords--the armor's a bit bulky for my taste but worked nicely on a Death Dealer I made last year. Loving those kettle helms... Quote
Wardancer Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 (edited) Also the BF viking helmet leaves the back of the head completely bare, which makes your fig look like a skinhead. Future products might want to avoid that. Edited July 22, 2015 by Wardancer Quote

blarghiflargh Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Would love LOTR-inspired items. One thing I would like to see is more items to plug onto the back of the armors that have a stud... the quiver is cool but it's not going to be very useful to a person with full armor on. Maybe like an unremovable sheathed sword, or in fact a working sheath in which to put a sword. Quote
Fantu Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I think most Castle/LOTR fans have the same wish of new Elven and Dwarven weapons and armors since LEGO have done just a few designs for those and they're not really close to what we expected. Games like Warhammer and World of Warcraft are great inspiration for these themes since their characters aren't all based on real human proportions, like LEGO characters... I wish Brick Warriors also started to make some custom hair and beard designs. Quote

Yeah, but I think there is a much higher demand for items for Gondorian soldiers (BrickWarriors could make accurate armour that resembles Gondorian armour and weapons from the LOTR films, and then call them 'Bullet Knights' or something ) as well as a Witch-king helmet, maybe even the flail and some new orc armoury. But Elvish and dwarvish armour would be great, too - only later on, perhaps. But I bet Gondorian items & a Witch-king helmet would sell like hotcakes. Edited July 24, 2015 by General Magma Quote
Wardancer Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I guess the BW staff knows all that very well - and still has decided to create their own stuff for very good reasons. Quote
General Magma Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I guess the BW staff knows all that very well - and still has decided to create their own stuff for very good reasons. Well they did tell me they had designed some LOTR items, I'm just not sure if the plan to release them still exists. Quote
Fantu Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Well could be that they fear lawsuits? That's why I said Elven and Dwarven items inspired on LOTR, Warcraft, Warhammer, etc. I know they can't just copy those designs, but BW staff proved that they know how to make original designs inspired on known franchises. Wardancer Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 It would be great if the dragon wings were available in gray to go with the upcoming gargoyle. Quote
