So, I took the instructions for the B-Wing 75050 and ordered almost all the parts in black. There were a few parts I absolutely couldn't find in black.

Some of the parts I ordered were a lot more used than I expected. Thankfully, most of them weren't visible. But here, on the wing cannons, to cover up what I assume were chew marks, I took the orange dot stickers and cut out rectangle shapes to put on the visible sides as a cover up and to add detail.

I received 6 of these plates, I only ordered 3. So, I added 1 on the other side of each wing...

...and 1 at the base of the middle wing.

I cut off the excess gray from the stickers and applied them to the cockpit.

And this is the pilot, Darth Muerte. Once a secret apprentice of Emperor Palpatine, he stayed close to his master as one of his royal guards. The Emperor told him to leave the second Death Star, he reluctantly obeyed and as he was flying away on a transport, he watched the Death Star explode. He vowed to avenge his master and become the most powerful and evil Sith in the galaxy. He made his way to Coruscant and found Palpatine's lavish quarters. There his discovered several black crystals which he took. He remembered that Palpatine told him to use crystals to construct a lightsaber. He built a glossy white hilt and decided to make a double bladed lightsaber. He used the strange black crystals and when he ignited both ends, a high pitched black blade extended from each end.

As he was leaving, he came upon a small squadron of stormtroopers hiding out. He slaughtered them all and felt the power and anger coursing through himself. He took the black gloves, the black vest and the white chest armor from one and put it on. He put on a black cloak that he found in Palpatine's quarters and set off to find himself a ship.

He found a junked B-Wing at a lot on the other side of the planet. Once he made sure it worked, he slaughtered the owner of the junk lot and made his way off Coruscant to find a safe harbor. He settled on Lothal and went to work on making his ship "stealth."

He desired to hunt down and kill any and every person who contributed to his master's demise, as well as any Jedi's who would challenge him. His ultimate goal was to become a powerful Sith, just as powerful as Palpatine and resurrect his empire.

He decided he needed to be as intimidating as possible. So he found a tattoo artist on Lothal who gave him his frightening visage. Of course, he slaughtered the artist. No one he encountered survived. Over time, he grew his hair long and black, his eyes turned redder and redder with every life he took. His teeth turned as black as his hair. Eventually, he left Lothal and set out on his nomadic quest to hunt down and kill and strike fear across the galaxy. He had truly become the Sith lord Darth Muerte!

Very nice :) Absolutely loving the all black, 'stealth' look! I have been toying with the idea of doing a black version of my B-Wing and your MOC makes me want to revisit that idea.

I really enjoyed looking and reading all of the above. I am interested, in general terms, how much you thought this might have cost in black as opposed to a normal price set (not inc figs). More than half, or even much the same price? It does look cool, and I have thought of doing this with a few sets, thanks,

I had to order the parts, the pieces for the figure and stickers from 5 different sellers on Brick Owl. I already had a handful of the parts to begin with. I took some of the spares from the regular set too. I actually ordered the wrong amount of the long gray axle. I needed two, I only ordered one. Thankfully, I had an extra black flagpole that accomplished the same task. I also got double the amount of the smooth, square plates with the four studs, needed three, got six. So I went ahead and put them on the ship, the photos above show that. Minus the various shipping charges, I spent $55. The shipping moved it up to $69. So if you subtract the shipping, I didn't go too far above the standard retail cost of the regular set.
