Israel Hands Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 This is not my project, just found it on the web. Please delete it if it's aleady been posted It's a fun and inexpensive LEGO clock. You can easily change out the minifigures or LEGO bricks to match your mood. Clock kits run around $10 to $15, or you could try to use the parts from a thrifted clock for much less. http://ournerdhome.com/diy-lego-clock/ Great way to display your spare minifigs, or create a themed clock; Star Wars, Super Heroes, LOTR etc Quote
fred67 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 It is a neat idea (one that I've been toying with for some time - actually to make a functional clock tower), but the execution on this one is way too simple. Although I'd like to answer "what time is it?" with something like "it's half past batman." Quote
Israel Hands Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Yeah, that's my main issue. The idea is simple, but the execution leaves something to be desired. I'm in no hurry to make a clock, but it is something I like the sound of. There's this idea http://gadgetsin.com/lego-minifigure-head-shaped-wall-clock.htm or this one http://www.arthursacek.com/2011/07/lego-clock-2011.html Quote
Darkdragon Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Haha I like the idea of using minifigs for numbers. You can change it for any season or theme you want to. A great concept. Quote
fred67 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Those two are much better - I particularly like the first one. Quote
Sandy Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Oh look, it's already panda o'clock! Looks like a fun creation! Quote
Deathleech Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I like the use of minifigures as numbers, but I agree that clock is a little basic other than that. The other two clocks look significantly better. Mixing both would definitely be the best. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Here is a cuckoo clock I made a few months back. There is actually a little chicken up in the top, but sadly he is stationary. The clock mechanism itself is from a craft store. Cuckoo clock by rodiziorobs, on Flickr Quote
fred67 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Wow, that's another neat idea... good job, there, rodiziorobs. Quote
