ellerb Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 (edited) A small group of fans and LEGO Ambassadors have been working behind the scenes to make a new LEGO Fan site after the server crashed earlier this year: http://www.LEGOFan.org The site has new content and a new logo. Certain areas are under construction and we will add more "Getting Started" articles for new fans in the coming weeks. If you have suggestions or would like to contribute to the site, please send an email to lfanquestions AT gmail dot com or leave your comments in this thread. Thanks! Wout Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Interesting, good luck with the new site :-) Quote
Holodoc Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Hi Ben! The site looks promissing. Maybe not much news for us 'older' AFOLs, but definitely a good start for new ones. *y* I found a little mistake in the "get started" section: How do I find old instructions to my sets? You can find instructions for your recently purchased sets in the official LEGO website. Just visit LEGO.com Building Instructions and insert the LEGO set number to check if the instructions are available. To see the instructions, you must have Adobe Acrobat on your computer. It has to be Adobe Reader or Acrobat Reader when talking about older versions, right? While changing that information, you could mention other pdf-readers as well. I prefer FoxitReader: Small program, doesn Quote
EyesOnly Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Nice idea. Seems like it will contain lots of info otherwise only found in forums and only if you search a lot. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 It has to be Adobe Reader or Acrobat Reader when talking about older versions, right? I believe the free version used to view PDF files is Adobe Reader (Used to be Adobe Acrobat Reader). The tool you use to create the PDF's (Which can view them as well) is Adobe Acrobat. Quote
EyesOnly Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 I think you're right but i still agree with holodoc that foxitreader is the best. So small and fast it's unbelievable. Perhaps not as many functions as some other apps but most times you just want to open a pdf. Quote
