Zodack Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Hello everyone! After coming out of my dark age of LEGO not but a month ago, I finally arrived here after going on the warpath for a consistent LEGO forum community. I was a LEGO addict up until high school, at which point I lost interest due to not having any kind of disposable income save for holiday money. LEGO has always held a fond place in my heart, but even up through college I would look at sets and think to myself "now if only I could convince myself to spend x dollars on that set" Well, no longer! I just graduated college and have decided to throw myself back into LEGO. Forcibly, if I have to. After buying the Hulkbuster Smash set from the latest run of Marvel sets (I'm not even a big Marvel fan aside from the cinematic universe - the justification for buying comics was much like LEGO... no money!) after which I promptly decided that night to get on BrickLink and buy every printed Iron Man figure (minus the Toy Day one, obviously). I've had LDD on my computer throughout college and enjoying being able to build sets without making a monetary commitment, and now I'm using it to fool around and try my hand at MOCs - first up is a Hall of Armor, which has been done a thousand times already by other people, but is fun nonetheless. I'm more of a minifig guy than a set guy, although I love MOCs, especially medieval themed ones. I never realized how collectible minifigs were until I looked up the price and saw that I had Cloud City Boba Fett (the whole set, actually, plus the Millenium Falcon that lands on its pad) just sitting in my room in the same "I'm going to carbon-freeze Han Solo" pose he had been in for about 12 years. My birthday is coming up this week and next on my list is the UCS Slave I! I look forward to posting with all of you. Zodack Quote
