Amandah8125 Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Hello! Just joined Eurobricks to see if there are any other 40 something women out there mad about lego. I have played with lego since I was 3 years old and although it took a backseat through my teens and twenties, now I'm a mum of a daughter and Lego finally started to produce sets that appeal to more girls again, my interest has been rekindled. I loved the maxi play family sets of the 70s as you could build dolls houses with furniture and play with them. I also loved the town sets of the 80s where you could layout the buildings in streets and there were proper houses, shops and such with cars on roads, not forgetting the railways. I felt lego lost all that for a while until the modular buildings came out and lego friends came out. Now we have Heartlake City in our basement, with lots of custom buildings created by both myself and daughter. My husband has no interest but tolerates well. Attached was my effort at another modular shop to add to Heartlake Mall, not as good as many of the models I have seen here, but I like it. Bye for now Sorry! Having trouble uploading the photos! Never mind, I'll figure it out. Quote
