ReZourceman Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I ordered the Dr Strange set from Argos, they have just given me a courtesy call to advise that it's out of stock so they've put it into monitoring. Pathetic, honestly the company are an absolute joke. They've re-arranged the other portion to Monday instead of Saturday because of "system problems", i.e. we didn't fancy sending a delivery driver out on a Saturday for one item I reckon. Infuriating, honestly had so many problems with them recently. Quote

GoldenNinja3000 Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I would love to go to my Toys R Us to get the Tanker Truck and Sanctum Sanctorum, but I'm waiting to order from Lego so I get VIP points and the London bus. I'm going to use my reward to save some money on the Bridge Battle later this year. I just started on my Civil War airport display, so all I need is the truck, Spider-Man, and Hawkeye to complete it. Peasantseverywhere Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Bought the Bridge Battle today in the Argos 3 for 2 (Aswell as two Star Wars Sets) Can't wait to build it! Would everyone recommend getting a second to make a combined model? Quote
BritishBrickFan Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I've just bought the Doc Ock set for £32.50 from Amazon.... I've got about £35's worth of VIP points that I'm now saving for next year's modular (at this rate...!) Quote
rob-ot5000 Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Bought the Bridge Battle today in the Argos 3 for 2 (Aswell as two Star Wars Sets) Can't wait to build it! Would everyone recommend getting a second to make a combined model? Huh. I mean, it will undoubtedly look cool, but that's a personal thing. If you can afford it and want to do it, well, hell, do it. If I had an unlimited LEGO budget and display room, I do it in a heartbeat. You can even sell the figures from the second set to recoup some of the money spent. But for me, I can't make that happen. So I won't. I guess I don't understand your question. Are you asking if we think it would be cool? Hell yeah. No doubt. But if you're asking for public opinion on whether YOU should get a second one, well...how old are you? How much money do you make? What are your current financial commitments? Are you married? Kids? How old? How does your savings account look? Do the kids have college funds established already? Etcetera, etcetera, ad infinitum. If you really want public opinion on this, I would say, and I think everyone else will back me up on this, you should buy the second bridge and send me the figs for free. I dunno, bro, but whatever you do, feel free to post pics Quote

I think he means regardless of all the stuff rob said, is it objectively worth the money to buy a second one, which, I don't have one (or two), but from what I've seen, it looks pretty good with two. I've just bought the Doc Ock set for £32.50 from Amazon.... I've got about £35's worth of VIP points that I'm now saving for next year's modular (at this rate...!) I have something like $245 CAD in VIP Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Brick Show just did a LEGOLAND haul video, and they got both of the new DC sets there. Is there a chance the Marvel sets are at LEGOLAND stores? Also, do you get VIP points at LEGOLAND stores? I haven't been to one since 2011, before I was a VIP member. Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Sorry because this doesn't belong here, but I know people have been asking about this: Ghost Rider has been confirmed for Season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! Quote
ToaDraco Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) Sorry because this doesn't belong here, but I know people have been asking about this: Ghost Rider has been confirmed for Season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! Yes and I'm ecstatic that Ghost Rider is in the MCU but furious that it's Robbie Reyes. I wonder if it's any coincidence that we got a Ghost Rider set this year or if Marvel recommended LEGO include one? I just hope this means they're saving the real Ghost Riders, Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch for the movies or Netflix were they can really shine. Reyes was never a real Spirit of Vengeance, just possessed by the ghost of a serial killer mimicking Ghost Rider's powers with no ties to the medallion of power or anything having to do with any other Ghost Rider. He's terrible and I really, really don't like him. I'm getting off topic though. I think there could be potential for a Robbie Reyes GR minifig coming with a Ghost Rider Might Micro, that would actually be cool as it would be difficult to do a motorcycle Might Micro.I'm really excited to the Ghost Rider set on August 1st when it officially comes out in the states. I was originally planning to get the Sanctum Sanctorum along with it but I guess not if it won't be in official LEGO stores. That's really frustrating. I also considered getting the Tanker Truck but I guess that isn't happening either Maybe I'll just get the last Bionicle set I need to get to complete this wave, Storm Beast. I understand exclusives but generally they are also in official LEGO stores. Is this the first time retailer exclusives aren't also offered in LEGO brand stores? I'm not very familiar with exclusives as most of them I haven't been interested in or didn't have additional funds for. Edited July 23, 2016 by ToaDraco Quote
Suproc Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I really wish we could get at least one Agents of Shield set. I love the show. In a perfect world, I'd like a set like the Big Bang Theory with all the main characters, but even a small set with just Skye, Coulson and perhaps Ward or if it's season 4, then whoever the villain would be. (Robby Reyes is a villain or a hero?) would be cool. Quote
Winter Soldier Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Does someone knows how to get the Doctor Strange set now in Belgium/Netherlands? Quote
Exetrius Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Does someone knows how to get the Doctor Strange set now in Belgium/Netherlands? Brickwatch does not have it listed, so I think the only way is to import it from somewhere outside the EU, probably from the States. Quote
Hoth Rebel Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Does someone knows how to get the Doctor Strange set now in Belgium/Netherlands? Isn't the releasedate August 1? Because if so, you'll just have to wait until then and order at S@H. Quote
LegoCityNut Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Picked up 76060 and 76067 today. Can't wait to crack on building them later. Quote
IMBATMAN Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 To those lucky people (trying to find nice words to call you guys) who have gotten the Tanker Truck Takedown, can you take pics of the lovely Spidey and post it here? Quote
eli3583 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) Can someone please clarify where in the UK I can get the Tanker Truck Takedown set? Is it exclusive to a particular store in UK as well as the US? :) Edited July 23, 2016 by eli3583 Quote

Redmark Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Yeah if anyone can tell us where to get 76067 tanker truck takedown in the uk. It would be appreciated thanks I bought mine from Toys R Us Hanley. I had to ask them to check the system as they were not out on the shop floor. Quote
Willsy Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Has it been confirmed that the Tanker and Doctor Strange set won't be available in LEGO stores? That would be really strange... Quote
SAnthonyK Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Has it been confirmed that the Tanker and Doctor Strange set won't be available in LEGO stores? That would be really strange... I can confirm this for the US as I asked the employees directly. Just as the US LEGO Stores cant carry the Ras Al Guhl set, they cannot carry Spidey or Strange and must be bought either online or at the exclusive retailer. LEGO employees agree this is dumb. Quote
Zilcho Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Finally bought the civil war airport set... It's great. Giant Man is my favourite build in a long time, and the Quinjet is fairly good even if it is a bit smaller than the other two. Quote
HawkLord Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I'm also getting a sinking suspicion that these sets will also dry up faster due to how limited they will be to get. I don't mean this at all the sound like drumming up drama, but fewer outlets to sell these sets may mean few sets made to sell in general. For example, if Set A is a common set released in mass, it might need 10k units to cover all bases. If Set B is Tanker Takedown, which has a limited release, you wouldn't still make 10k units of it. MarvelWarrior Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 The Spider-man civil war set is due in August for America correct? Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Got Doc Ock's Tentacle Trap at the Michigan LEGOLAND Discovery Center shop today! Starting the build now. They had most of the new August 1st releases, not strangely did not have Ghost Rider. I got the Kryptarium Prison Breakout instead. Ask me if you want close up pics of the new figures from the Doc Ock set! Quote
