BrickLinking Republic Drop ship

This set has been a dream set for me for a long time now, and I finally feel like it might be the time, as i highly doubt that LEGO will ever re release this set. I really only want to build the drop ship from the set which should help keep parts count and cost down. I have never used brick link before though and wanted to come here for tips and maybe a proper method to using it from other people who have used it to build sets.

Or if anyone has actually done this before with this set, any parts list or links would be very helpful.

Like i mentioned this thread is mostly me asking for help with figuring out how to stay organized and get the most out of bricklink.

You can part the set in brick link

Goto Wanted tab

Part out a set

enter set number 10195 (if that is the one you are after)

enter a name for your wanted list

tick set my min desired qty for each item to qty of items in inventory

submit it for edit

verify and upload list

Hi Billy. I had that set at one time and was really impressed with the Dropship. Sadly I had to let it go to fund other projects.

When you have your wanted list, and you select to 'shop by wanted list', when you get into the shop, look on the far left where all the types of parts are listed. Look at the top of that list, just below the 'search' bar, where it says

Show All Items this store has on my Wanted List (All Items) Click that, then click the 10195 wanted list again just below Store Items: Items On My Wanted List

. This will now list all parts the shop has that doesn't meet minimum amounts of parts, where, the shop may only have four 1x1 red plates but your wanted list may require 8 of them. Normally, these would get neglected out of the parts the shop shows on your wanted list. This helps to increase the parts you get, as two shops you order form may have only half the particular piece... but both orders from those shops gives you the full amount, meaning you don't have to go to a third shop to get all 8 plates.... If you understand what i mean?

I have actually done this a year or 2 back and I was able to keep the price low, but it took some patience and time. You need to look for stores that have a lot of the pieces you requir, so you can keep the amount of orders that you need low, shippingcost can rise very fast!

Make sure that all the piece you need are available, I overlooked one piece (ramppart on the wing) and I took me along time to get it.

I think in the end i paid 160€ for all the piece plus shipping. That is without the AT-OT!
