I think that Star-Trek could never be made into lego for one simple reason. It revolves around big ships in space. Lego is not keen on big ships being made into minifig-friendly sets. It would never work.

EDIT: And no, it is not illogical. The smaller the craft, the larger the explosion and the larger percentage of the ship is damaged.
