I know how to embed an image but it does not work.

When I paste the url, the buttons in the little window are not enabled and I can't even close that window.

I have a PC with Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer.

Thank you for helping.

He was being serious. IE does not cooperate well with the software this forum uses, which means you probably have two choices: a) try another browser or b) live with the bugs you're experiencing.

I am serious too !

And like most of the people of this world, I will stay with Internet Explorer.

Thank you, anyway.

I have found the solution to my problem.

The best is to not use the picture icone.

The solution is just to paste the url of your image from your site with the img tags, here an example from hostingpics.net

[ img]http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/128866sIMG9669.jpg[/img ] (beware, you can this example, because I have put the white character in img tags)

And of course, this Works with Internet Explorer.

Who are you "Bill Gates"? (I am sorry if that is a little jerky.) I like to think most people have IE still on their computer but just are not using it.

But, Congratulation on finding a solution you are happy with.

Good stuff, you found the work around. I usually use the copy and paste method and manually type in the img tags if there are not there like for Brickshelf images.

Microsoft is replacing Internet Explorer in Windows 10 with Edge browser (nee Spartan).

Also, it's safest to re-upload any images to something like imgur. Sometimes if you view an image directly on a website or blog, it's already loaded in your browser so it shows fine for you. But when you copy its URL and put it in a message here, it will count as "hotlinking" so the next person to try to see it from your message might not get it.
