Maybe it is already a common knowledge, but I just noticed that the pilot's helmet in the 75081 set is marked exactly as the helmet used by Luke during his lightsaber training on board the MF in the Ep.IV. Can be used to improve the scene in 7965, that included plain LBG helmet :)

Sorry for being a mini mod but I think this should be in the 2015 rumors and discussion thread

I'm not sure why?.. That thread seams to be focused on future or recently released sets. This set is already on the shelves for several months now. I just bought it today and just yesterday I watched the Ep.IV (actually listened to the commentaries from the BluRay), so I noticed that the helmet markings match.

And 7965 is certainly not a 2015 set to talk about it in that thread....

I did not know that. Looked it up, and you're right. It's the exact helmet from the Millennium Falcon scene. It even has those vaguely phallic designs on it. Thanks for pointing that out!

I also don't think this belongs in the rumors thread -- I don't see why it would. The T-16 has been out for a while.

Also, you know, I don't mean to nitpick the mods because I think this is overall a great site but I think there's too many strict rules regarding new threads anyway. I think it makes the forums less vibrant and organic to condense everything into large threads as opposed to letting small threads start, gather a few comments, and fade away. It may also be why everyone seems to use the rumors thread as a "general discussion" thread. And every few pages someone posts "hey, isn't this supposed to be a rumors thread?" And that pattern repeats ad infinitum.

I don't think that this fits neatly into any of the existing threads, as it seems to be more of an observation than anything, so I'm happy for it to stay as it is.

It's always a difficult balance to strike; we try to keep anything similar together as it helps to keep the volume of threads to a manageable level, otherwise there's a strong probability that because of the higher turnover of threads some would be 'buried' very quickly and members may miss the opportunity to view them. However, if there's something genuinely new we'll normally allow it to remain.
