mediumsnowman Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 (edited) 5002125 Electro surprised Lego fans everywhere when a picture of it leaked way back in 2014 from Virginia KidsFest. What was this one ASM2 set doing way after the movies release? If Lego had the license to ASM2, why is this the only merchandise they produced? Most importantly, how do I get my hands on it? The polybag was very rare, one selling on Ebay for over $200! However, part of the mystery was solved when mass quantities of this polybag began showing up at TRU. They were supposed to be a promo for $30 Lego purchases, but most TRU's put them in the aisles for the low price of $3.99. Let's see how the set shapes up! Here is the front of the packaging. It is similar to the packaging of other exclusive figures we have seen in the past. My only complaint is it seems the front is a bit empty with Electro shunted way over to the right. The label in the bottom right shows it is official ASM2 merchandise. The back is boring with lots of small text and the item number, 5002125. Opening the bag reveals 5 pieces; 3 build Electro and the other 2 are his electric bolt accessories. Connecting them builds one beautiful figure! He also has printing on the back on his head and torso. I had another picture of him fighting Spider-Man, but Brickshelf is being temperamental right now. And now for my final thoughts on the figure. He is very cool, but imperfect. His torso and legs ought to be black, not dark grey. I don't know, but something bothers me about his face. However, for $3.99, he is a must-have for any Marvel fan. The torso could be very helpful for sci-fi type builds, and who doesn't want some more lightning bolt pieces? The verdict: Run down to TRU and pick one up! (Or three! ) Thank you for reading my review! Comments and feedback are welcome! Edited May 17, 2015 by mediumsnowman Quote
Risgrynsgrot Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 How did LEGO manage to be able to sell this for 4 bucks? I tought they could only give away polybags like these since they can't sell action figures. Quote

I think is was just TRU being completely incompentent (again) Lego sent them as a promo item, but TRU just saw them as more sets for the toy aisle Quote
K-Nut Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 He's got a nice, useful torso and legs, but I'm really not a fan of the face. He looks to much like he has acne. I'm betting he looks good with the 2014 Spider Trike head, though. Quote
Godtshep Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Great figure and terrific review. Is it available in the UK? Quote
