Minifig Lecturer Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I came across this funny picture. VW fans might appreciate it. Quote
Khorne Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I already saw this pic via a link in another thread. I think this is a very good MOC and very good Photoshopping *y* . Although I would replace the trans-yellow lights with normal trans-white and the trans-orange with trans-red lights. Quote
Asuka Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 A very fine MOC and a lovely photo work indeed! *sweet* Quote
Brainbox Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I think the trans-orange lights are okay, they're probably indicators. But I agree with you on the other lights. I've seen this before as well, but that doesn't matter. It's a cool MOC, detailed yet not over-complicated, and good photoshopping to boot. And, as anyone who's been reading the '2008 sets' thread will attest, this is not a real set. :-P Quote
badgerboy Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I'm really chuffed that this simple little idea has been greeted with such enthusiasm. Of all my mocs, this has had the most posting on the web. I think V-dub campers are awesome and decided to do a whole retro thing... I had no idea it would generate the attention it has. Thanks for all the kind comments! Quote

To be honest, I don't think anyone really knows why VW campers are so great, but everyone thinks they are nonetheless. :-D Thanks for all the kind comments! You're quite welcome. :-) Quote
badgerboy Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Howdy goodfellas! Just thought you'd like to know that there are instructions now available for this build... vw instructions are here! Please let me know if you build one! Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 (edited) badgerboy, I must say that is really well done! Now able to see a few more picks it looks even better, the interior is nicely made. And as for posting the instructions what can I say but thank you for that! Opps PS, Forgot to say the photoshopping is also very well done. Edited February 27, 2008 by Cardinal Brick Quote

That VW is very cool and I love the box art! *sweet* You could try to do an early 80s type 2 VW camper which is slighly bigger so it has all the folding seats and opening compartments like a real one. :'-) Quote
julencin2000 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I thought this set was made by a Bricklink shop owner, just for sell it. Commercial custom set, actually. But I can't find it through Bricklink... Quote
