THERIZE Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 hi, i really want to make some steam engines but i don't have the important parts, the wheels. Does someone know where to buy them. I thought about buying on the lego side (emerald night wheels) but I want to know if there is a way to get cheaper wheels. Does someone know where to get them? I searched on bricklink but could not find any wheels. Maybe you guys could give me some URL's for where to get large lego steam locomotive wheels. Thank you Quote
ProducePrincess Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 This is an option. http://www.bigbenbricks.com/products/products.html Quote

Duq Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Look for a used Toy Story train 7597, Monster Fighter train 9467 or Lone Ranger train 79111 on eBay. All three come with the same wheels as Emeral Night (in red in 7597) and are cheaper to get than Emerald Night. Quote
jtlan Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 (edited) I've found that the official Lego drivers are cheaper on Bricklink than the price Big Ben Bricks sells their wheels at, but the official wheels only come in red and black. Big Ben Bricks makes a variety of colors (no light grey any more for some reason though, although they clearly used to), and an XL and M size. For L size wheels in black or red though, I'd use the official wheels. They can take an O-ring for vastly improved traction, and also look a little better because of the counterweight molded into them. Edited May 11, 2015 by jtlan Quote
