Old ship, different theme.

Hi Guys,

Think this probably my 2nd or 3rd time posting in this part of the Eurobricks forums,

just thought i'd show you this, i'm not sure if this has been done before but i'm really

happy with how it turned out...

& here it is my Ice planet themed Galactic Mediator set 6984.

Always wanted this ship as a kid, ice planet was always a favourite theme of mine so

i thought why not try & combine one of my favourite ships with a favourite theme.

I really do think the ice planet was one of the best themes LEGO space ever had. It has a classy style and look and this ship looks even better in those colors.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't really belong to the theme as is. I would have liked to see some of the ice chainsaws on arms or perhaps some skis added in for landing gear. Something to help it fit into the icy world.

well i never really liked the ice theme... the idea was originel, but i never quite liked the space station and that very often turns out to be the decisive factor to whether i like or dislike a theme.

i like this ship though, the originel one and the one in ice theme colors. it's a pretty good model, even though it lacks a good old fashioned engine

But they did have THE best spaceship TLC has ever done, IMHO : the DEEP FREEZE DEFENDER. That ship's just got everything for it...

And none of the next big starships came anywhere near that cool...

Great job *y* ! Ice Planet was one of my favorite themes as a kid.
