Maxim I Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 (edited) Well, our factions need decent flags to blow in the wind. All designs are welcome! Don't forget they should fit the official Lego 2 x 2 flags and 6 x 4 flags. Maxim I Posted April 11, 2015 Author Posted April 11, 2015 I updated the flags of Eslandola based on some feedback I received. More feedback always welcome, just like ideas for the other factions!! Quote
Hindenburg Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 All three flags look great, but the thrid one is the best! I hope that you will design some more soon, because you did a great job with the colours etc... Quote
Capt Wolf Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 (edited) They all look good, but the third is my fave as well, because it uses the crossed anchors and barrel logo from the old Imperial Trading Post set. I was already making plans for that logo to show up in my models of the Eslandola Trading Company. Edited April 11, 2015 by Capt Wolf Quote
Basiliscus Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Great work Maxim I. I love these flags! The East Xulumandia Trade Company is definitely the star of the show, I really like the crossed anchors. It'd be great to see similar versions for Corrington and Oleon. Quote
Capt Wolf Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I just sort of assumed the Corrington and Oleon flags would like these: Quote
2maxwell Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Same. I think its easier since those two flags are so ubiquitous and available. But I'm on board with making an Eslandola flag. To be honest, I kind of assumed the faction leaders already had plans re: the flag situation. Quote
Matthias Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I just sort of assumed the Corrington and Oleon flags would like these: I support it !!!! Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Great work there, Maxim I., I especially like the Trading Co. flag. One thought on 'official' decorated flags, the only thing 'official' (meaning what each MOC is encouraged to show) will of course be the colors of each faction. What happens with all the decorated flags is up to each player... so don't get stuck on what flag 'belongs' to whom. But I think some tendencies are obvious . This issue is similar to the factions & torsos talk. Quote
Rotaser Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Good news regarding the unnecessity of using the exact flag. I think both "default" flags (red and blue) look way to similiar. I guess I am going to go with a blue fleur de lys on a white square sided by rather narrow bars of blue. Although I would as well love to add some red as a colourfull point. Alas, I don't own any picture editor other than paint, but I might try my best later to show visually what I mean (picture says more than a thousand words). Quote

Basiliscus Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I just sort of assumed the Corrington and Oleon flags would like these: I agree with that, but as Kolonialbeamter already stated, it'd be good if players also made their own flags (in their factions colours of course). That would allow more variety! Quote

That would allow more variety! Or we could use the powers of one skilled and abled flag-maker to get MAXIMal results! Quote
Rotaser Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Okay, I just had some time and this is my suggestion on the flag of Oleon (or just the coat of arms of my SigFig) and their trading fleet. Still need to resize it for the 2x2 flag, though. Another idea that was floating in my mind was to use the blue lion(O Leon, got it?) flag from the castle theme to use it. This would make it easy, as pre-printed parts could be used. And additionally, the faction "Red" and "Blue" wouldn't sail around with a flag that similiar Quote
Maxim I Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) Yeeey, created 2 more flags (3 to be honest, but the 3rd one is for when Bobs officialy launches :D ) The Eslandolian city of Stedor Stedor Eslandola by Maxim, on Flickr The Stedor - Oleon Trading Organisation Stedor SOTO by Maxim, on Flickr Edited December 17, 2015 by Maxim I Quote

Khorne Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Just curious.....What program/app was used to create these....in case I'd like to try my hand at it...? These are made with paint :p Here's a variant of the Oleon flag I made: I doesn't fit the official Lego flag, because I made it to be used as a graphic more than a real genuine flag in MOCs. Quote
