Brainbox Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Sir Dillon, just because of the great leap that Hinckley's taking. That just looks so cool. Quote
EyesOnly Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 No and tks God there is not !! Have you heard of the meaning of the word freedom ?? *yoda* Yes i have. Quote
gylman Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Sir Dillon's vig is, IMHO, one of the finest vigs I have ever seen, in any category, for any contest or non-contest. Off the top of my head I don't remember a better one. The art of MOCs (he offers, pompously) is as much the simplicity as the detail. The finest vig MOCs (IMPO) are not necessarily those with details, but those with mood and setting, and the less pieces and details used to achieve those, the more noteworthy the work. So, while I wouldn't normally state my preference in a contest because I respect all those who make the effort and enter, Dillon's entry is just so amazing that I felt obliged to do so. I've admired it for weeks. Part of it's power, though, comes from the personality we associate with the figs in the EB community, which Sir Dillon also captured). (Yo, Dill, can I have my 50 cents now.....) Quote

Sir Dillon Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 (Yo, Dill, can I have my 50 cents now.....) Hey, we agreed on 25, and you know it. >:-( But seriously, thanks for that very nice comment. 8- Quote
El Bucanero Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I was hesitating between Sir Dillon and Sir Nadroj (heheh, both Sirs) and Sir Dillon got my vote! Although Sir Nadroj's is also awesome! Mr Tiber Quote
gylman Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I hope to get a eulogy half as nice as that. :-P Sinner is working on it. :-D Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I voted for Quarryman. I really like the way that huge hammer is placed in Sinner's face, and it's pretty cool how he managed to build Hinckley using only the hat! :-P Walrus Whack ON!! Quote
SirNadroj Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 A few of my favorites in this round were Apo's, Jordan's, and Hinckley's. :-) Thanks, but how does everyone know my name!? :-D Although Sir Nadroj's is also awesome!Mr Tiber Thanks. |-/ ;-) Quote
Sir Dillon Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Thanks, but how does everyone know my name!? :-D You mentioned it somewhere or other. Plus it's easier to spell than Nadroj. ;-) Quote
Hinckley Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 You mentioned it somewhere or other. Plus it's easier to spell than Nadroj. ;-) That wasn't him. It was actually PSPguy who "outed" him. I believe I pointed it out after he started calling him Lordan that it was your name spelled backwards. I was more concerned with proving I'm clever than with your privacy. Set us all straight, brother, would you prefer us not to call you by your real name? :-$ also, sorry that I contributed to the discovery of your name... Quote

SirNadroj Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I don't have a preferance, you can call me whatever you want! X-D Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I don't have a preferance, you can call me whatever you want! X-D Ok, shitface.... :-P Quote
SirNadroj Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Ok, shitface.... :-P I meant Jordan OR Sir Nadroj. Just a little clarification. ;-) Quote

xwingyoda Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 All hail the wisdom of *yoda* . 900 years on Eurobricks has made him the wisest of all. X-D but it didn't make him a good MOCer *sing* Only 3 lousy votes (and 1 is mine !!) I feel so rejected by the building community |-/ Sure its my second vig ever but still, I deserve better than that :'-( Meesa go cry now X-D Vote *yoda* On !! Quote
Starwars4J Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Well first I was going to vote for Hinckley, but that's more of a prank than a whack. Then I was going to vote for Sir Dillon because it was so well done (you need to tell me how you got that arial shot *wub*) and then I saw... X-D Guilt ON :-P I've been waiting for this...Now who's the suck up, b!tch? :-P I'm surprised mine got any votes. I thought it would be disregarded as sophmoric hinckley humor. Well, cool. It's good to know that there are other people out there who think the dumb things I find funny are funny. I was stuck between *yoda* Sir Dillon, Sir Nadroj and Apo's vigs. So since it's a semi-final I decided to wait to see if someone was lagging behind I could help bump them into the final. Sir Dillon and Sir Nadroj's vigs took off so I had to decide between *yoda* and Apo who were both tied at three. I decided on Apo because he used *yoda* as a whacking implement and I thought that gave it that slight creative edge over *yoda* for my vote. *sweet* Quote
JoeMI6 Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I voted for Sir Nadroj. The expression on his face at getting whacked with a Kraken is priceless! Quote
Starwars4J Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 (edited) I've been waiting for this...Now who's the suck up, b!tch? Sophomoric humor is fun, it's why we love you *wub* Edited August 11, 2007 by Starwars4J Quote
Hinckley Posted August 11, 2007 Author Posted August 11, 2007 You, it's still you :-|Which cancels mine out...so you tied it up again 8-| You need to learn your numbers again... 5 does not equal 4. Didn't they brush on the at JHU? :-P Quote

Didn't they brush on the at JHU? :-P Yeah yeah...you said you voted for Apo when they both had three. We each voted for one of them, which would have kept them tied at 4, but someone voted for Apo bringing him up to 5 :-| And no they didn't, I hate numbers >:-( Edited August 11, 2007 by Starwars4J Quote
