Hinckley Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Well a great big thank you to everyone for making my first Eurobricks contest a huge success with 37 entries! (If my entry wins I will pass the prize on to the runner up because hosting the contest was prize enough :-$ plus I don't want the damn ice cube tray anyway >:-( ) I have split the entries into three groups in the order they were entered. After a week the top five vote-getters will move on to the finals! *sweet* *y* Then round two will start and so on. So first up, group one with 13 entries: Choose carefully as there's an ice cube tray at stake... I wasn't going to enter mine, but *yoda* encouraged me to and I don't argue with *yoda* . Well...I try not to :-$ . Now onto the more important results, the whack tally! Vader was whacked the most with 7 whacks! And I hinckley39 am the biggest whacker with 6 big whacks! :-D For all the official whack stats check out the entry thread... For more sophmoric entertainment, the walrus wedgie wiener whack saga continues: See everyone? Sinner may look like a cute cuddly walrus, but he's truly mean! Don't fault copmike, he's been bribed with Red Bull. I'm so mature! :-$ The saga will conclude after the voting is over :-D :-D :-D Will hinckley get his revenge? Or will he continue to be humiliated? :-/ My money's on the latter... And for those of you who didn't get a chance to enter, never fear! I will host a sequel to this contest in the fall... Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 And for those of you who didn't get a chance to enter, never fear! I will host a sequel to this contest in the fall... Or for those who want more endless time of crazy nonsense and fun X-D My bricks are prepared >:-) so do your worse !! I just pinned this Hinckie ;-) For the poll itself, I still have to decide whether I vote for myself or not :-D Come on, that prize is too good to be true, I have to vote for myslef to have a better chance to win it 8- Quote
Shakar Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 (edited) Sir Dillon. Just too funny! :-P That little boat is so cute... Shakar Edited August 9, 2007 by Shakar Quote
optimus-convoy Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I kept going back and forth between Sir Dillon and ApophisV, but I went with Apo for his clever use of Yoda as a whacking implement. X-D Quote
El Bucanero Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 So should we vote in every poll or wait till our real favorite shows up in a poll? Mr Tiber Quote
Hinckley Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 So should we vote in every poll or wait till our real favorite shows up in a poll?Mr Tiber Vote in every poll please. The top vote-getters will move on to a final round. Quote
Timento Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I didn't really now who I'm going to vote for, ApophisV or SirNadroj... I ended up with SirNadroj, that kraken is masterfully built *y* Hinckley, this is a great idea, making more polls :-) ... If we would have to choose from 37 entries I'd be completely lost. Quote
Axle Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Wait where's my entry? Oh, wait will it be in another poll? And BTW I saw a furniture shop in town today called Hikleys furniture! I thought it were hinkley! It's an invasion of Hinkleys! Sorry for the really bad quality pic of mine, but I have no other camera. :-/ Quote
Quarryman Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I kept going back and forth between Sir Dillon and ApophisV, but I went with Apo for his clever use of Yoda as a whacking implement. X-D Hehe.. that's the same two I were deciding between too. 8-| On the one hand Sir Dillon's entry had that excellent "impending doom" feeling, and Norrington's innocent playing with his boat made me laugh hard the first time I saw it. On the other hand, ApophisV was the first one to actually use another sigfig too do the whacking, and his entry included some nice scenery too. His entry gave the impression that *yoda* needed to be held up to actually be able to hit someone, which I found very funny :-D But in the end my vote had to go to Sir Dillon, after all, his entry made me laugh the most *wub* Quote
SirNadroj Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Great job everyone, there are some excellent entires! *y* And thank you for your votes! X-D Quote
ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I voted for Sir Dillon, because of, as Quarryman said, the impending doom feel. I love how Hinckley is suspended in air, that really made me laugh when I first saw it. Quote
hewkii9 Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I liked Sir Dillons, but that hewkii kid's contraption stunned me. I voted for him. Quote
Hinckley Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Wait where's my entry? ... ... ... read the first post Quote
Corvus Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 (edited) I had to say Apo. The Yoda-whack was very funny. :-D Sir Dillon, how did you make your Hinkley stay in midair? Edited August 10, 2007 by Mr. Mandalorian Quote
Hinckley Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Look you guys! We've got some attention on another site for the contest here Thanks to Sinner for pointing this out and here's my gut reaction as posted in the Kill Jar Jar thread: Yikes! I'm on there too! With my real name! And my undies up in the air! Where'd they get my real name? I'm kind of embarassed to have my sig-fig getting a wedgie with my name on there. :-$ Damn you Sinner and your fiendishly clever scheme to get my ice cube tray! :-D :-D :-D Although, I suppose there have been worse pictures out there of my actual self... :-$ Quote
Siegfried Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I voted for SirNadroj because he is so cool. *wub* His MOC was OK as well... and I suppose the kraken was alright. No walrus though. >:-( Well a great big thank you to everyone for making my first Eurobricks contest a huge success with 37 entries! Anything for you... *wub* ...even though I still am waiting on my bucket. And for those of you who didn't get a chance to enter, never fear! I will host a sequel to this contest in the fall... Cool! *sweet* I should have a Hinckley to whack then. Wacking Hinckley should be fun. (Err... for the non-Yanks; when is fall month wise?) Hinckley, this is a great idea, making more polls :-) ... If we would have to choose from 37 entries I'd be completely lost. Your being too kind; he had no choice; the system only allows a maximum of 20 options... :-P Hinckley is still cool though... See I'm not mean! :-P Yikes! I'm on there too! With my real name! Yes I noticed that. I am not sure if I would be happy about that or not; asking first might have been the polite thing to do. I wonder why he didn't track down my real name; I am after all in the top ten for "Sinner" on Google... Perhaps you are more famous than me, or, gasp, more loved? 8- Quote
Hinckley Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Anything for you... *wub* ...even though I still am waiting on my bucket. What the hell makes you think you're getting your bucket back? *wacko* Cool! *sweet* I should have a Hinckley to whack then. Wacking Hinckley should be fun. (Err... for the non-Yanks; when is fall month wise?) For the good of the site, I can be whacked by anyone anytime. September is fall, but I think as soon as the four polls are done, I will start the second contest. Your being too kind; he had no choice; the system only allows a maximum of 20 options... :-P Hinckley is still cool though... See I'm not mean! :-P Silent but deadly the walrus is. And you didn't have to point out how not brilliant I am >:-( But a thank you should go to *yoda* here for convincing me not to run all three semi-final rounds all at once and in the same poll. Each poll can have up to three questions, so I was just going to cram them all in. :-$ Quote
Siegfried Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 What the hell makes you think you're getting your bucket back? *wacko* Well I still could win the smackdown, couldn't I? :'-( But a thank you should go to *yoda* here for convincing me not to run all three semi-final rounds all at once and in the same poll. All hail the wisdom of *yoda* . 900 years on Eurobricks has made him the wisest of all. Quote
Poomerio Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Sir Dillon got my vote; a flying Hinckley with an axe-like object XD Fantasticness :-P - Poomie Quote
Tanotrooper Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Sir dillon got my vote! Hehe, look at him playing with his boat :'-) and then you see hinckley with this giant axe :-D TT P.S. great idea for 3 rounds :D Quote
SirNadroj Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I voted for SirNadroj because he is so cool. *wub* His MOC was OK as well... and I suppose the kraken was alright. No walrus though. >:-( Thank you Sinner! :-) (I don't have any walrus' :-( ) Quote
EyesOnly Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I voted for hinkley. You've gotta love someone who willingly lets someone do a wedgie on them. :-P BTW is there any ways to stop people from voting on themselfes. 1 vote could make a differens. Quote
