Today, or so I've heard, Lego has requested that all major second hand retailers of Lego pieces, i.e. Bricklink and Ebay, to stop selling the gold coins, and printed dollar pieces.

The reason for this is that Lego is pushing for their own form of currency, called the Stud, abbreviated LS, for Lego Stud. Each LS would be worth 1 Euro, at present time, with the 1x2 $100 plates being worth 100 LS. Lego is also going to offer exchange at any Lego Retail store in the world, both from other currencies to LS, and from LS to other currencies. So, if one were to bring in a 10 LS coin, it would be worth 10 Euro.

Naturally, this is abrickmario loves Disney!. I hope you all realize that now :-)

Quick, dig through you spare parts bins, you all could be rich!
