It's technically possible, but I'd advise caution. Water can cause issues with pneumatic parts, specifically the lubricant and the metal rods. And, obviously, water and electrical components do not mix. You know, I think you should invest in a copy of Sariel's Unofficial Technic Builders Guide. It has sections that answer a lot of questions you seem to have.
