SabineDutch Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Hi guys, I'm planning to do a study about team work at the university. Therefore, I'm looking for an appropriate LEGO product, but I don't know anything about LEGO... The students who will participate in the study will work in teams of 3 persons and have about 15-20 minutes to cooperate and build something. The LEGO architecture / landmark series look pretty nice, but I think these are too hard to complete in only 15 to 20 minutes. Does someone know an appropriate product that is fun for students in 3-persons teams and challenging (but achievable) in 15 to 20 minutes? Thanks in advance! Quote

The Serious Play sets have a terrible parts / price ratio. Better buy a Creator set or the already mentioned classic box. Quote

(I know you said it was a university study, but I remember participating in a university study as a young kid.) I think their ages might change how much they can build with a 15-20 minutes limit on building. Also, how important is it that they be able to finish the whole set in 15-20 minutes? bemuser Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) Lego is darn expensive for a one-off project unless you find a large lot on ebay. for team work, things I've had to do in the past include building bridges out of lollipop sticks, another bridge out string and thing wooden rods, put on a short demonstration involving all members of the team - pick your favourite shakepeare play, etc. Edited April 6, 2015 by bemuser Quote
