Erik Leppen Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 It could also be a marketing trick. Trying to sell the parts more expensively by saying "this will become rare". Also you could contact the seller and ask their source for this statement. Surely they didn't pick this out of thin air, right?
Saberwing40k Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I think this person pulled this out of their big behind, as this is basically a Dutch Ebay equivalent. I see this all the time on regular Ebay, calling a set or other thing rare even if it is not. The impression I was under is that this was an actual webshop that sold Lego, and thus had a connection to them, and some real information on the tires. Actually, why would these tires become rare in the first place? The flagship for this year uses them and everything.
gti180 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 think Lego make more than enough tires... my house looks like a tyre fitting shop for small people!!
Erik Leppen Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 If new kind of tyre is to be released, i'd wish a high profile version of the 41897 in order to have a perfect front wheel diameter for late 70's/early 80's 1:8 race cars as Wing-cars F1. Rumor topics often dwindle into wish list topics. Let's not do that (but feel free to start a new tyre wish list topic). There's either a reliable source for this rumor, or there isn't, and if there isn't, there's no reason to believe it and really not much to discuss here....

I will lock this topic until actual information pops up.
