stiggy07 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) This is my MOC of a twin axle caravan , would make a nice traveller or fairground addition. Comments welcome- Thanks Edited March 19, 2015 by stiggy07 Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Nice caravan, any other images (might I suggest larger wheels on such a huge caravan)......Brick On 'stiggy07' ! Quote
stiggy07 Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) I tried larger wheels but it didn't sit right http://www.flickr.com/photos/36291073@N02/16598527747/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/36291073@N02/16183472014 Edited March 19, 2015 by stiggy07 Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 You could try and increase the depth of the wheel arches to take a more realistic tyre and rim, but it's your call. Any interior to the caravan ? Quote
Trainmaster247 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I like it I have been trying to build something like this but to no avail Quote
gazumpty Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Yeah I agree with LT...the scale of the wheels is a bit off. Maybe try the more modern lego tyre size...the oversized ones you see on any current lego vehicle release. Would like to see how your interiors look too. Quote
eurotrash Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I like it, although doing it in 8-wide looks a bit big scale-wise. I did my purple one as a 7-wide and I used the same wheels as you and they seem realistic. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=96636 Quote
AirborneAFOL Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Very slick build. I'd agree with the sentiments on the wheels, though. Would recommend trying to find a way to use bigger ones, scale seems just too small with the current ones. Would love to see an interior as well. Overall, great work! Quote
stiggy07 Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 Thanks for the comments I will have a look at the wheels, and as for the interior, it does not have any YET - but watch this space Quote
AirborneAFOL Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Heck, if YOU like the wheels as-is, that's the important thing! I've been lurking this forum for over a year now, and never once have seen a mean-spirited critique. I assume most folks appreciate the critiques because of collective ideas only serve to enhance our builds - but don't feel like you should make a tweak just because of the consensus! ;) Quote
stiggy07 Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 going to leave the wheels as is , it just sits better behind the vehicles and also it is nicely balanced . Quote
