Chorduroy Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Hello all, I built this as the start of a project to build some downtown buildings from my city. Here is the first one based on this: IMG_0749 by Chorduroy, on Flickr IMG_0750 by Chorduroy, on Flickr As always, sorry for the bad pics ... haha! Thanks for checking it out! Quote
DD840 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 That looks spot on! I really like the idea of micro downtown buildings. Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Excellent design 'Chorduroy', but micro city designs normally go in the Special Themes forum......good old Town forum is for minifig scale. Anyway, great work and Brick On 'Chorduroy' ! Quote
Chorduroy Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Ah, I was debating which forum to put it in ... mods, feel free to move it. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 This is a sensational MOC! I really love the trans clear slope pieces and the main access door detail! Quote
Chorduroy Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) Well hello fellow Reginian! This is the first in what I hope to be a fairly decent size layout of Scarth Street and 12th Avenue. I've started on the Michi/O'Hanlon's/Copper Kettle building and the TD Bank Building is next. I'm struggling to figure out a way to build the twin towers so that they look good with all that glass and the angles. If you're around in late July, you can check them out in person at Brickspo in Moose Jaw! Edited March 19, 2015 by Chorduroy Quote
Balbo Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 That MOC really looks amazing! Fantastic work! Quote
henrysunset Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Awesome Work Chorduroy! This is a lovely Postmodern building of clear Art Deco influence, and you captured it beautifully with LEGO. Keep it up! I wanted to make sure others find your great work, so I added it to my great LEGO Postmodern Architecture collection on Pinterest.
