Toltomeja Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 The buddhist temple of Ta Prohm is a part of Angkor complex in Cambodia. It's famous for being gradually absorbed by jungle, trees growing up on the man-made stone structures. Built by Khmers in 12th-13th century. The fragment is an exact place in the temple (see them compared). I wanted to keep it as close to the original as possible. Apparently, it was featured in Lara Croft movie. Haven't seen it, but maybe you have? Street View: http://www.goo.gl/maps/lNZhI FULL ALBUM: http://www.flickr.co...ltomeja/SU2gK0/ Hope you'll like it! Quote

Lady K Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Simply awesome! I have alway wanted to build some portion of Angkor Wat but have been intimidated by the complexity of it. You have accomplished it so very well. The detail in the carved stone and the huge tree roots are fantastic. Quote
Elostirion Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 This is an absolutely amazing build! To me your version looks far better than the original. Quote
Iria Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 This is really lovely. I`m happy to see this site in MOC form. The design work on the wall next to the doorway is really interesting. I don`t think I have seen the use of the bottom of the bricks quite like that before. Quote
Blufiji Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 This is really great, particularly the brick built sky. Quote
Halhi 141 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Wow, fantastic build! Like everyone else has said, the sky is really eye-catching! I also really like the texturing and coloring of the roof. Great work! Quote
TheLET Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 This looks great! I like the details in the temple wall and the roofwork. It took me a few moments before I realized that the sky was also made of Lego, but the effect is amazing. Quote
