pcfw Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Hispabrick Magazines (free download) has loads of articles on LEGO including robotic articles on NXT, Mindstorms and WeDo. However, if we are only interested in robotic related articles, it is too time consuming to browse through so many articles to find the ones you want. So for mine as well as other's convenience, I have tabulated the magazine volume number, page number and topics on my blog and you can find it at Hispabrick Magazine: Topics on LEGO WeDo, NXT, Mindstorms Quote
pcfw Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 And I have done the first summary of Hispabrick Magazine robotic related article at Volume 016: Introduction to robotics with WeDo Quote
pcfw Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Diego Galvez said in Volume 016: Introduction to robotics with WeDo that WeDo is more than just for kids, that it is possible to construct a LINE FOLLOWER using WeDo. I have added a video to the post. However, I am not able to find out how that can be done with WeDo as I thought to make a line follower, one need to have a light/color sensor but WeDo doesn't have such. So how can that be done? Anybody knows? Quote
DrJB Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 After checking the article, it says WeDo can use the PF LEDs. Thus, I'm thinking either the WeDo light sensor can be used as a line follower, in standalone or possibly together with the PF lights. Note that this will need some 'calibration' of the on/off states. Quote
MajorAlvega Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 The WeDo distance sensor is a IR emitter/receiver (see this post at http://www.legoengineering.com/). So the "line" just need to reflect/absorb more IR light than the "floor" to change the "distance" readings. Of course, you need to ensure that real distance between the sensor and the floor never changes. Quote
