MattZitron Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 So two Attack on Avengers Tower later I've done a mod on the Avengers' HQ. I decided to go wider rather than taller so I can use it as a display piece on a shelf. I decided to go for a middle doll's house style open for greater playability. I kept the Iron Legion launches and the Ultron assembly as they were too cool to part with. I expanded the sickbay because, let's face it, more than one Avenger will be injured after a battle. I added the blender from Stark's mansion. My favourite bit of course is my Iron Man lab. I re-jigged the turntable from the mansion and added the arms that came with one of the towers. Because of the space you can get a couple of suits around him. The turntable can go 360 degrees, and the window behind opens so he can fire off. On the other side I put in a small hall of armour. I kept the blow out window feature but added the panes from the mansion. There's space for a couple more suits and it looks good because the two behind are slightly raised. Having this lab meant I had to move the Sceptre scanner to Stark's upstairs office, but the extra width afforded that. All in all I'm really happy with this mod. I haven't done one in a long while and I think this turned out well. Overall I think I'm most proud of the back of the building where I made more space but also made it look cool. Let me know what you guys think. Action shots coming to Flickr soon! Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 It looks very cool and the interior is defiently the highlight! The only thing I would change is the center spire looks a little small compared to the rest of the building. Quote

Yeah I was debating bulking it up but I like that it's a thin spire that works as a lightening mast/comm tower. I wanted to keep the spin as well. Quote

MattZitron Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 The playability of that is fantastic. Good work! Thanks. I wanted something that I could put a load of figures in and it not look too rammed. I may replace some of the 1x1 bricks with side attachment bricks so I can have people flying around it or webbing up. Quote
MontyPython Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Quite a nice MOD, it was nice to see it. Twice Quote
Legocity2713 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Very cool. Different than what others are doing. Good work. Quote
Chubbs Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Great work. My son is bugging me to do something similar...I know you used 2 sets for the building - any extra pieces for the exterior or were all the extra pieces just for the interior? Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 On the exterior it does look pretty bulky, and as mentioned earlier the thin spire looks out of place. However, the interior is fantastic. It keeps the simple look of the original set, while adding a lot of playability at the same time, looks like a load of fun. Quote
