Chapachuk Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I dont know anything about trains, so i guess its ok for that kind of knowledge :) Here it is anyway: More photos: Part of this diorama: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106623 Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Actually it's pretty good and I like those old school Shell tankers too ! Brick On 'Chapachuk' ! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I love the Shell wagon and those colors! Quote
Electricsteam Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I think a smaller street car type train there instead of the freight would work much better. Quote
cgarison Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Very nice locomotive. I see this style of locomotive running down the middle of Delaware Ave. in South Philly shuffling railcars. Quote
dr_spock Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Nice Shell color containers. Some rear windows would make life easier for the drivers so that they don't have to stick their heads out the door windows to see when running the engine other direction. Quote
Commander Wolf Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I think a smaller street car type train there instead of the freight would work much better. It's a nice scene, but I also feel that there is a bit of a mismatch between the diorama and the train... to me the setting feels very tropical whereas the loco suggests an American switcher. I'd also think about leaving a tad bit more clearance if you actually plan on running the train. Quote
Richfilth Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I think that's a very clever locomotive, and very similar to something TLG would create. The use of train doors (similar to kits 4563, 4558 etc) is a very nice touch, since they didn't come from a train model originally 28 studs long also keeps it in perspective to standard train sets. That would look very good with lots of black-and-yellow open cargo wagons from set 4563, or the hopper wagon from 2126. Quote
vedosololego Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Very nice locomotive without visible studs. And the Shell wagons are well done too. Quote
